Watermelon Gushers from BC Green is a hybrid strain that was created by crossing Gelato 41, Triangle Kush and Watermelon OG.
Users describe the buds as being round and dense with a strong sweet note of citrus and fruit. Plus, BC Green grows using a small batch drip feed system which ends up making trichome production very intense resulting in frosty nugs with over 25% THC content. All of these reasons combined make this product sound incredible so let’s see how it compares to BC Green’s Wedding Poop strain.

Smell
The product arrived from BC Green in an industry standard matte black resealable bag with zipper opening which we hope held in the delicious smell of this fruity sounding strain. However upon tearing open the seal, we noticed a mild sweetness with some subtle secondary earthy floral notes. Of note, after grinding up the flower we detected a sweet syrupy aroma.
Appearance
The front label on the bag covers information like the brand, product name, total THC and CBD, percentage of terpenes, weight, lot number, package date and contact details. The back label only had a diagram on how to open the seal. We dumped out the contents and noted the buds were all medium in size, well trimmed and very frosty looking. There was light greens, dark greens and even a few purple leaves along with pistil hairs that were hard to see as they seem blended into the bud. Visually this is a nice looking flower.
Flavour
We smoked this flower in both a glass pipe and by rolling a joint. The conclusion was the flavour was definitely more noticeable with the pipe. Upon inhale there was a very muted sweetness which on exhale introduced an earthy leaning floral note making the sweetness nothing more than an undertone. Unfortunately there was nothing that came to mind regarding watermelon flavours when enjoying this bud.
Experience
Our batch of Watermelon Gushers from BC Green was part of lot number CRF-FLW-098 with a package date of November 1, 2022. Listed as having 26.5% THC content and a price tag of $32.95, we felt this one under-delivered a bit. Producing a very mild physical sensation very similar to waves of goosebumps, then accompanied by an equally reserved mental mist that was barely noticeable. Overall we thought it was a mildly peaceful high but given the THC percentage on the label thought it would hit harder. It does have great visual appeal and that’s pretty much where our excitement ends. Perhaps there is a really good batch out there but if you’re looking for a new strain this one is probably not the one.
