Today’s we’re reviewing a hemp oil extract from CBD Magic.
This product is made in Canada and contains less than 0.3% THC which means you don’t feel any psychoactive effects (i.e. you don’t get high). If you’re curious then learn the difference between THC and CBD here. Currently the full spectrum oil is available in a 30mL bottle which contains 1000mg of CBD. Men and women use this oil for a number of reasons including…
- Alleviate achy chronic pains
- Reduce inflammation
- Relax physically
- Improve sleep
We have a good friend who deals with chronic pain so she was the ideal test subject. It will be interesting to see how this compares to other CBD edibles like Zen Leafs CBD Gummies or Bhang’s CBD Chocolate.
Smell
We actually didn’t expect this product to have much of a smell and that’s pretty much what we got. After opening the package and filling up the eyedropper we inhaled deeply but really couldn’t identify a primary aroma. The packaging and eye dropper seemed to produce more of a smell then the oil itself.
Apperance
The product arrived from CBD Magic in a small blue cardboard box that was plastic sealed. Inside this box was a glass bottle with eye dropper that contained the CBD oil. The outside of the jar had basic instructions printed in the label like simple steps about using the oil and ingredients, these include:
- Full Spectrum Hemp Extract
- Hemp Seed Oil
- MCT Oil
The oil itself was a pale yellow colour, runny and quite transparent. This is not the thick and messy oil commonly found with weed or honey oil.
Flavour
We didn’t expect this to taste good but wow it was terrible with a capital T. You’re definitely going to want to add this into a drink or a meal to mask the flavour unless you have an iron stomach. Our reviewer took a healthy dose straight and almost threw-up due to the bad taste and even worse aftertaste. Again, we didn’t expect this to taste good and CBD Magic likely doesn’t recommend taking it straight, so this is just our experience if you do.
Experience
Listed at $89.99 for 30mL, CBD Magic’s Full Spectrum Oil provided a decent amount of pain relief for our reviewer (who normally uses strong prescribed pain killers). It took just under 40 minutes to activate but she said it felt like a physical weight being removed from her lower back. The biggest surprise was how it affected other parts of the body that had been achy but not painful. Those areas of the shoulder and thigh felt better, no aches or cramping feeling. To cap things off she had several nights of restful sleep feeling recharged and happy when she woke in the morning. Now she wants to add CBD as part of her regime to see how much this can manage some of her long terms symptoms. If you’re looking for a natural option for pain, aches or sleep then this full spectrum oil from CBD Magic might be worth checking out.
