Divvy Pineapple Nuken is a sativa-dominant strain that was created by crossing Pineapple Haze and Nuken.
This hybrid is a fave for its fluffy, round buds and exotic terpene profile. A sweet fruity aroma with earthy undertones thanks to its exotic terpene profile high in ocimene, farnesene, and caryophyllene.
Let’s see how this one compares to other popular strains like Pineapple Express or Pineapple Upside Down Cake.
Smell
Upon tearing open the package, we were greeted by a fruity, chemical aroma. It was noticeably stronger than anticipated, possibly due to the farnesene. The scent wasn’t overly sweet; instead, there were other elements that proved challenging to identify, diverting our focus from the fruity essence.
Appearance
The flowers were enclosed in a cream-coloured bag with a zip-seal opening. The front label displayed the brand name, strain, and cannabinoid content, while the backside featured information such as weight, package date, top terpenes, lot number, and a simple diagram illustrating how to open the bag.
Although Divvy included a Boveda humidity pack, the buds were relatively dry. In terms of appearance, they were well-trimmed, round, dense, and displayed a variety of green hues. The pistils had a medium orange colour, and the trichome layer exhibited moderate thickness.
Flavour
The flavour mirrored the aroma in many aspects. While a fruity element was present, it lacked sweetness and did not linger for an extended period. The smoke was relatively smooth, yet, akin to the smell, there was an additional component in the profile reminiscent of chem weed.
Experience
Our batch belonged to lot number 4965 and was packaged on July 12, 2023. With a listed THC content of 19.1% and priced at $64.95 for 14 grams, we considered this product reasonably priced but unlikely to be a repurchase. Despite our usual enjoyment of pineapple or fruity strains, this one failed to impress. The high itself was acceptable, delivering a relaxing physical vibe without inducing burnout or lethargy. However, it wore off somewhat abruptly, leading some of us to believe that a significant quantity would be needed for users with a high tolerance level, making this strain less appealing to them.
