GMO Cookies (also called Garlic Cookies) was created when Girl Scout Cookies was crossed with the diesely Chemdawg. The end result was a plant that has a high THC potential and produces a euphoric high with mentally uplifting effects.
GMO Cookies has the reputation of producing an incredible body high that leaves you feeling relaxed and free from pain. In large doses, you may feel like sinking directly into your sofa or favourite chair due to the large amounts of THC contained in this plant. This cultivar is known for strong flavours, diesel aroma and a garlic taste that lingers for a while. In terms of appearance, it has light green buds topped with curly orange hairs and a heavy frosting of white trichomes.
So how does Edison’s product compare against competitors like Cali’s Garlic Cookies or Spinach’s GMO Cookies?

Smell
The product arrived in an industry standard blue plastic container with security lid and moisture pack to preserve freshness. We were really impressed with Edison’s Black Cherry Punch and their Ultra Sour strain called Limelight so we could no wait to see what GMO Cookies has to offer. After we opened the lid we noticed it was difficult to clearly identify the aroma coming from the container. A combination of earthy hops with just a hint of pine at the end. The smell was okay, but nothing memorable.
Appearance
Here’s a case of the camera making things better than they appear. Edison’s GMO Cookies was mainly small buds that were and stringy with a light trichome coating. The semi-dark green leaves contrast well with the bright orange hairs. However visually there was no wow factor. Much like the smell, the appearance was not memorable.
Flavour
So far this version of GMO Cookies has been okay. But the flavour profile was a turn in the right direction by delivering a good balance starting strong with what tasted like an earthy hops before ending on the same light touch of pine.
Experience
The buzz delivered by Edison’s GMO Cookies is definitely above average. Both the mental and physical effects produced are strong but not overwhelming. Given it’s lower then average price point, this product would be good fit for both new and experienced users. Overall we liked GMO Cookies from Edison but we certainly did not love it.
