Figr Go Steady Black Cherry Punch Review

Go Steady Black Cherry Punch from the Figr team is an Indica-dominant hybrid with a sweet cherry and citrus flavour.

Lately we’ve been exploring a lot of different Black Cherry offerings so we were pretty excited when we learned about Figr Go Steady Black Cherry Punch. (Update: We recently reviewed Figr’s Go Elevate Kali Mist which is a sativa dominant strain.)

Figr describes their Go Steady Black Cherry Punch product as being a dark forest green colour peppered with fiery orange pistils which give this cannabis strain a unique appearance.

So how does it compare to BBOB’s Black Cherry Punch or Redecan’s BCP?

Smell

The product arrived in the industry standard plastic container with security lid. We popped off the lid and took a deep inhale of Figr’s Go Steady Black Cherry Punch… the result was a strong smell of tart cherries like in a pie. We feel like Edison’s Black Cherry Punch has a stronger smell but this one is not too bad.

Appearance

The buds were a bit leafy compared to other strains (like Black Cherry Punch by Ness). However all the buds were small to medium-sized with medium tone of green, fluffy in terms of density and showered in trichomes, yum!

Flavour

The extraordinary aroma is outshone solely by its invigorating flavor reminiscent of citrus lemonade, delighting the taste buds with joy. Much like the captivating scent, the flavor proved robust and appeared to heighten in intensity with each subsequent puff.

Experience

Listed with 20.8% THC content and a price tag of $26.95 for 3.5 grams, we found Figr’s Go Steady Black Cherry Punch delivered a great smell and had a strong, clear, mellow type of high but definitely was not on the same level as Edison’s.

Since high school my friends and I have been recreational cannabis users so we decided to start Merry Jade after legalization in 2019. We review and photograph the different products then share them on this website. The rating system we use is called “SAFE” which stands for Smell, Appearance, Flavour and Experience. Each category gets a score out of 10.

  1. I’ve ordered BCP from Figr a few times and have not been disappointed. Really nice flavour.

  2. I have this. I liked it. The buds were awesome generous for 3.5 grams. Price wise 29 bucks with tax. Nice. /it’s one of my 5 indicas and one of my favs. For a indica .the high was quite strong.. I don’t mind that. .. still relaxing overall I dont dry vape sativas /.for me they induce paranoia. Indicas don’t do that. I like White Rhino also.

  3. I tried it and all I tasted was chemical flavor. Buds were not trimmed very well which made this fluffy bud even more harsh on my throat. Health Canada should be making a special visit to ensure proper growing techniques are used here. It’s also very obvious that there is no Quality Control or Quality Assurance at the FIGR facility and if there is the Manager should be forced to resign. Terrible Marijuana out of FIGR products out of this facility. I don’t think they will survive 2022.
