UPDATE: This was our first Haven St. review, since then we’ve reviewed many of their products. Click here to see all the reviews.
When a company like Haven St. Premium Cannabis decides to dabble with the Northern Berry strain you ultimately end up with what they call No. 421 Twilight. This plant has a mild smell of wood and earth greets the nose from small to medium dark green buds with veins of orange, a solid earthy musky wood flavor resulting in a peaceful relaxing mental effect.
This was our first encounter with Haven St. products and we felt it was important to review 4 critical components:
- Smell – How does it smell?
- Appearance – How does it look?
- Flavour – How does it taste?
- Experience – How does it smoke?
Smell
The packaging arrived fully sealed so the plant had not dried out. Opening the container we were struck by the fresh but earthy aroma. Although still fresh the distinct berry smell was certainly present.
Appearance
Dark, dense and resinous would be the first 3 words to come to mind when thinking about a visual description for No. 421 Twilight. When closely examined both the formulation of crystals and stigmas (red hairs) are well defined.
Flavour
Since No. 421 Twilight comes from a strain derived from Northern Lights and Blueberry it was not surprising the plant provided a sweet berry taste underscored with the earthy flavour so commonly associated with Northern Lights.
Experience
We were incredibly optimistic just before smoking No. 421 Twilight by Haven St. because it looked and smelled great. The experience is a combination of cerebral and physical that produces a peaceful relaxing state of mind. We found the feeling lasted for 90 minutes but depending on your tolerance for cannabis products this might be different for you.
