Not long ago we checked out Amsterdam Sativa from Highly Dutch and thought it was a decent smoke.
So today we’re reviewing the flip side of the spectrum with Highly Dutch’s Rotterdam Indica. They describe this strain as being a potent organic indica blend however did not give any specific strain names. It does have a rich terpene profile and users describe the aroma and flavour as a combination of earthy, piney notes with sweet floral undertones.
So how does this product compare to competitors like Reef Organic’s Coastal Kush or TGOD’s Organic GG4?

Smell
The product arrived in a bright cyan plastic bag with resealable zipper opening. We tore open the package and detected a moderately strong floral scent with hints of herbally black pepper towards the end. Pretty average smell overall which is what we also thought about their Amsterdam Sativa strain.
Appearance
We dumped out the contents of the bag and were happy to see Highly Dutch Organic includes a humidity shield inside the bag. In terms of size, the the buds were medium with a few smaller ones. However the first thing to catch our eye was the dark brown clusters of thick vein-like hairs that permeate each nug. The appearance does very much feel natural like these buds were grown outdoors or in a greenhouse. One final note, although a humidity shield was included we still found the flower to be quite dry and hard.
Flavour
The flavour profile of this version of Rotterdam Indica had a similar strength as the aroma. After inhaling we detected a distinct dry floral that was balanced with an equally strong black pepper spice. This combo is interesting but it could be an acquired taste for some depending on your typical preference. Not amazing but not terrible either and we were happy to note the smoke was not as harsh as we feared based off the appearance.
Experience
Incredibly Rotterdam Indica from Highly Dutch Organic is listed with 25.14% THC content (classifying it as potent) and a price tag of $29.95 for 3.5 grams. We found it delivered a true indica experience which included a heavy chill vibe that would make physical duties a challenge simply due to a lack of desire. However on the flip side we felt very little mental change making this a good one for the end of the day. Given the reasonable price this one is worth checking out.
