Holy Mountain Frozen Lemons Review

Dive into the vibrant world of Frozen Lemons from Holy Mountain, where the lineage of Fruity Pebbles OG and Cap's Frozen Lemons collide in a sativa-dominant extravaganza. With promises of zesty aromas, visually stunning buds, and a flavour that'll make your taste buds tango, this review will have you craving the tangy twist of Frozen Lemons in no time.

Holy Mountain Frozen Lemons is a sativa-dominant strain that was a special pheno run of Cap’s Frozen Lemons, which is a unique cross between Fruity Pebbles OG and Cap’s Frozen Lemons.

Renowned for its abundance of limonene, Frozen Lemons promises a delightful aroma of tangy lemons, accompanied by a harmonious blend of zesty and sweet undertones. Additionally, the strain boasts chunky, spade-shaped buds that add to its visual appeal. Let’s see how it compares to other lemon strains like San Rafael’s Lemon Rocket or the classic Super Lemon Haze.

Smell

We were excited to explore Frozen Lemons further so we opened the bag and were immediately greeted by a moderately strong earthy citrus scent. It wasn’t too overpowering, but it definitely caught our attention. However, we were a bit surprised to find that the promised sweet element mentioned by Holy Mountain was more subtle than expected. Instead, the aroma leaned more towards zesty and slightly sour notes, which dominated the overall profile. While the citrus essence was present, we couldn’t help but wish for a stronger touch of sweetness to bring balance.

Appearance

The flower arrived in a sleek medium-sized silver reflective bag with a resealable zipper opening. The front label thoughtfully provided essential details, including the strain name, lineage, weight, and cannabinoid levels, ensuring transparency for the discerning consumer. The back label listed further details, including signature terpenes, aromas, package date, lot number, and grower contact information.

As we eagerly poured out the contents of the bag, we were pleased to find the inclusion of an Integra humidity pack, meticulously maintaining the freshness of the buds. Our focus then shifted to the appearance of the flower itself. The nugs, ranging from small to medium in size, well-trimmed and were densely-packed. Adorned with a generous coating of trichomes, the buds gleamed under the light, catching our attention. Adding to its visual allure, vibrant orangey-red pistils intertwined gracefully throughout the flowers.

Flavour

With the aroma setting the stage for our flavour expectations, we embarked on our session and our assumption proved to be fairly accurate. As we took our first draw, the taste unfolded, revealing an earthy citrus profile that still lacked a prominent sweet component. Instead, it resembled the tanginess of lemons or limes, exuding a zesty character that was refreshing on the palate. While not overtly sour, it didn’t possess the distinct sweetness found in some other citrus strains. Despite this, the overall taste remained enjoyable, offering a unique twist on the traditional lemony flavours. During our session, the smoke proved relatively smooth, eliciting minimal coughing, and allowing us to fully appreciate the flavour nuances without discomfort.

Experience

Our specific bag belonged to lot number 315975230422 and was packaged on April 22, 2023. It boasted a THC content of 21.7%, offering a reasonably potent experience. Priced at $119.95 for 28 grams, we found this to be a good deal considering the quality and quantity.

The high induced by Frozen Lemons is characterized by a well-balanced blend of effects. It gracefully combines physically relaxing sensations with a moderate uplifting feeling, complemented by a potential hint of euphoria. This strain proves to be versatile, making it suitable for a “wake and bake” session, as it is unlikely to leave you feeling overly burned out or lethargic. It strikes a pleasant equilibrium, allowing for a gentle elevation while maintaining a level of functional clarity.

If you find yourself curious about this flower, we highly recommend giving it a try. The well-rounded experience, combined with its noteworthy potency and reasonable price, makes Frozen Lemons a compelling option for both seasoned enthusiasts and those looking to try a new strain. Overall, it offers a balanced and engaging experience, showcasing its lineage.
