LowKey’s Dessert is the Apple Fritter strain which itself is a balanced 50/50 hybrid made by crossing Sour Apples with Animal Cookies.
This flower is suppose to be dense with light green foliage and generously coated in trichomes. The presence of caryophyllene, limonene, and pinene as the primary terpenes further enhances its aromatic profile. As described by LowKey, anticipate a harmonious blend of sweet and sour fruity apple notes intricately intertwined with gentle undertones of delicate vanilla pastry flavours. Let’s see how this compares to Back Forty’s Apple Fritter or the Apple Fritter from Delta 9.

Smell
When we opened the bag and broke the seal, we were initially disappointed by the lack of aroma. Despite multiple deep inhales, we could barely detect any smell. However, as we continued to explore, we discovered a subtle hint of room-temperature melted ice cream, although it was very faint. It’s worth mentioning that after grinding the flower, a pleasantly surprising and invigorating aroma of green apple acidity emerged, providing a stronger and more refreshing scent.
Appearance
LowKey’s Dessert came packaged in a medium-sized resealable green matte bag with an Integra humidity shield inside. The front label provided essential information such as the brand name, grower, product name, THC and CBD levels, and terpene percentage. On the backside of the bag, you’ll find details about the strain type and lineage, weight, grower contact information, lot number, packaged date, grow method, and dominant terpenes. We appreciate the comprehensive information provided on the package.
Upon opening the bag and examining the buds, we took our time to analyze them. The buds range in size from small to medium and feature dark green leaves with hints of purple, along with occasional vibrant orange pistils. A delicate layer of glistening trichomes adds a sparkly touch. They also had a delightful sponginess to them, likely due to the presence of a humidity shield.
Flavour
After rolling the joint we were met with flavours that surpassed the subtle aroma we encountered earlier. As the first inhalation embraced our senses, we were greeted by a bold and surprisingly complex flavour profile. The dominant notes of green apple citrus took center stage, asserting their presence with each delightful puff. It was as if we had sunk our teeth into a perfectly ripe and crisp Granny Smith apple, experiencing that unmistakable burst of tartness and refreshing sweetness. The essence of this iconic apple variety danced on our tongues, making each inhale a delectable sensation.
But the flavour journey didn’t stop there. Hidden beneath the green apple’s vibrant symphony were subtle undertones that added depth and complexity to the experience. Hints of zesty citrus and a touch of floral essence mingled harmoniously, elevating the flavour to new heights.
Experience
Our bag was part of lot number 0423A0904 and was packaged on April 14, 2023. The THC content was listed as 28.3%, promising a pleasantly potent experience. At a price of $27.50 for 3.5 grams, we felt this was a reasonable deal considering the nice quality.
After smoking, Dessert produced a gentle boost of mental stimulation, offering a clear-headed and focused state of mind. But that’s not all—we also felt a soothing wave of relaxation that surrounds the body, melting away any tension or stress. The harmony between mental alertness and physical tranquility created a balanced experience.
What truly elevated the overall experience was the delightful apple flavour. With each inhale, the distinct notes of green apple citrus tantalized the taste buds, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the session. The combination of taste and effects transformed the experience into something above average. Considering the price is under 30 dollars, we think it offers good value.
