Natural History Crescendo Review

Crescendo from Natural History is an indica-dominant strain that marries the aroma of berries with a flavour that is sour and gassy.

Natural History Crescendo is described as a potent indica-dominant strain that was created by crossing Chem Dawg, I-95 and Mandarin Cookies.

The buds are known for their dark green interior which slowly change to purple hues at the tips. Natural History also says to expect a large amount of orange to brown pistils with a dense coating of trichomes. Crescendo produces a musky almost gassy aroma that blends into a berry/earthy aroma the longer you inhale. This symphony of odours is created by the strains primary terpenes which include Myrcene, caryophyllene, limonene, linalool and humulene.

So how does this compare to other products like Natural History’s LA Kush Cake?

Smell

Crescendo is our first encounter with a Natural History indica strain so we were quite curious to see the quality since the price was not inexpensive. The product arrived in a medium sized zipper sealed bag with a top that was easy to open. We took a deep inhale and picked picked up a sweet musky floral scent that faded quickly into a much more prominent flat diesel smell. The gassy scent is not overwhelming but much stronger then the sweet berry at the start.

Appearance

Crescendo from Natural History looks great. The buds are incredible, stunning and what you want to see in every bag of cannabis you purchase. Medium sized boulder-like buds that are compact and dense with lots of wildly different yet vibrant colours and caked in thick layer of trichomes.

Flavour

The smell transferred over quite effectively to the flavour profile. We noticed right from the start that a sweet touch of floral was present but faded quickly to the much strong diesel taste with earthy undertones.

Experience

Natural History’s Crescendo is a decent overall indica. However we were a bit disappointment and surprised with the high it produced as we expected something very strong given the product was listed at 23% THC. But this version of Crescendo ended up delivering a mild to moderate mental buzz with a mild to moderate body buzz. We found smoking in the morning or evening produced an almost identical experience and actually preferred Natural History’s Fruit Cake strain. Since Crescendo is priced higher then many similar products, it’s better to find a different indica with greater potency.

Summary
Natural History's Crescendo is a decent overall indica that features a mild aroma and flavour of berries combined with gassy diesel. However we were disappointment as the high only produced a mild to moderate mental buzz with moderate body buzz even though it was listed at 23% THC. Consuming in the morning or evening produced an almost identical experience. Since this product is priced higher then many, we recommend finding a strain with greater potency.

Since high school my friends and I have been recreational cannabis users so we decided to start Merry Jade after legalization in 2019. We review and photograph the different products then share them on this website. The rating system we use is called “SAFE” which stands for Smell, Appearance, Flavour and Experience. Each category gets a score out of 10.

  1. You gave sky pilot by tantalus labs (ugh) a better review than natural history crescendo? You must have a bias for the green if you know what I mean. Or you’re on crack. Cause they not even the same ball park. No cred after that one. Tantalus sucks.
