We’re familiar with this LP because of their Lemon Berry strain so today we’re looking at another strain from them.
Ness Sour Strawberry Kush is an indica-dominant flower known for high THC levels, fresh flavours of citrus and strawberry, mixed with diesel and kush undertones. It’s intriguing flavour profile is the result of three dominant terpenes: caryophyllene, limonene and farnesene. Ness describes the buds of Sour Strawberry Kush as being large and beautiful similar to strawberries with tones of purple and red, bright orange hairs, frosty sprinkles of trichomes and sticky resin.
This sounds delicious, but how does it compare to similar products like Vertical’s Strawberry Cake or Gage’s Strawberry Fire OG?
Smell
We are hoping Sour Strawberry Kush from Ness will hit the spot. It arrived in a medium sized pink bag with resealable top. After tearing the top off we detected a scent although it was very mild. Inhaling deeply and filling our nostrils began to reveal a very musky earth with a ever so mild hint of berry. The aroma on this one was nice but incredibly weak.
Appearance
Dumping out the bag made u happy. The buds are all popcorn sized and covered with trichomes which is a good sign. Then there is the popping red pistils which contrasts quite nicely against the bright green leaves. Visually Sour Strawberry Kush is nice – not AAA but not swag either.
Flavour
We are thankful the flavour profile of Sour Strawberry Kush had more kick then it’s mild aroma. Smoking this product kinda reminded us of a gummy straw candy, this one actually has a sour berry/strawberry note. Interesting, a very nice taste from start to end. This one was an enjoyable smoke.
Experience
Sour Strawberry Kush from Ness is listed as having 22.4% THC content and another solid indica product with great visual appeal and flavour. It delivered a strong high that includes a mild mental relaxation combined with a moderate buzz. This cultivar would be good for those with lower THC tolerances, but users with high tolerances might find it weak. That being said, we still preferred Ness’ Black Cherry Punch and Lemon Berry strains more then this one.
