Original Stash OS.One Atomik Sour Haze, the latest sativa, emerges from the crossbreeding of Amnesia Haze and Bikers Kush. Boasting a distinctive terpene profile of terpinolene, farnesene, and caryophyllene, this strain promises a pungent citrus aroma. Its visually striking dense green and orange buds make it a noteworthy choice for those seeking an authentic and straightforward cannabis experience.
Smell
Upon unsealing the bag, a potent burst of zesty citrus scents immediately envelopes the senses, leaving an indelible impression. The harmonious blend of Terpinolene, beta-Ocimene, and beta-caryophyllene undeniably teases and tantalizes the nose.
The zesty, effervescent notes of limes dominate the initial wave of scent, infusing the air with a refreshing vibrancy. Terpinolene, a terpene commonly found in citrus fruits, dances through the atmosphere, contributing to the lively and uplifting character of the fragrance. Its presence adds an element of brightness and a hint of floral complexity that perfectly complements the citrus burst.
Appearance
Original Stash has chosen a matte black bag for their product. The front label provides a comprehensive array of essential details, including the product name, strain name, type, weight, THC and CBD totals, dominant terpenes, as well as the packaging date and a distinct lot number for easy reference. On the reverse side, a straightforward diagram illustrates how to unseal the package.
Nestled within the bag is an Integra Boost humidity shield, demonstrating a commitment to preserving product quality. However, upon closer examination, the contents reveal a range of bud sizes, spanning from petite to medium. Regrettably, the appearance was not amazing, with numerous visible stems. It’s possible the extreme dryness of the flower may have led to its crumbling and deterioration within the packaging.
The buds themselves present a uniform lime green hue, featuring inconspicuous, sunken brown pistil hairs. This observation underscores the necessity for enhanced moisture control during storage and packaging to maintain the flower’s structural integrity.
Flavour
Upon inhalation, the distinctive and robust lime flavor was readily discernible. However, on exhale, we encountered a slightly harsh and mildly throat-irritating smoke, leading to occasional bouts of coughing. Nevertheless, it was a delightful surprise to find that the taste harmoniously mirrored the enticing aroma we had experienced.
Experience
The bag of OS.One Atomik Sour Haze we acquired from Original Stash bore the lot number 3101730050 and was packaged on September 15, 2023. It was prominently labeled with a THC content of 23.2% and was priced at $128.20. Our experience with Atomik Sour Haze certainly upheld its name, revealing a pronounced and potent lime aroma and flavor. However, this delightful aspect was accompanied by a sense of disappointment due to the dryness of the product and the abundance of visible stems.
The overall impact felt most suitable for daytime use, as it primarily induces a cerebral experience. It doesn’t lead to lethargy; instead, it offers a sense of mental clarity and stimulation akin to savouring a zesty lime juice drink infused with caffeine. It enhances focus and leaves the mind feeling alert and primed to kickstart the day’s activities. It’s important to note that when consumed in the evening, it might make falling asleep a bit elusive due to the heightened mental stimulation it provides.
We’ve long wondered just how accurate the THC labels of legally sold cannabis products are and we do expect them to be somewhat inaccurate but close to what’s stated on the label. As such, we decided to take the opportunity to perform a THC potency test using the TCheck home potency testing device. Our results, as indicated in the screenshot of the TCheck testing app below, show a potency of 21.5% THC, providing valuable insights into the accuracy of the product’s labeling.
