Frosted Cherry from Potluck is an indica-dominant strain with a lineage connected to the popular classic Girl Scout Cookies (GSC).
The aroma is described as crisp and fresh with a smooth flavour profile that makes smoking this flower quite enjoyable. Just like Potluck’s Pineapple Express this product is classed as a value buy and is only available in 7 gram bags. Let’s see how this compares to other sweet tasting strains like Black Cherry Punch or even Cherry Jam.

Smell
The flower from Potluck arrived inside a smaller sized baby blue plastic bag with resealable zipper opening. We cracked open the seal and could detect a moderately strong sweet earthy aroma with a subtle undertone of what appeared to be berries. Surprisingly we didn’t find much of a cherry element to the smell and overall we’d say the aroma’s strength was middle of the pack.
Appearance
We dumped out the bag and noted that just like their Pineapple Express strain they included an Integra Boost pack to help keep the flower fresh. With an outdoorsy natural look, these small to medium sized buds had a dark olive green tone with orange hairs and a moderate trichome layer. Even though this is a budget buy we still felt like there was a lot of extra stem that could have been removed during final trim. This cannabis doesn’t look bad however it’s not going to win any awards for it’s looks either.
Flavour
Enough examining, it was time to get down to business so we rolled up a nice joint and the very first thing we noticed was the extremely brief sweet note which was quickly overpowered by a much stronger earthy taste with an undertone of herbal. Unfortunately because the flower was so dry the smoke was really harsh which made consuming less enjoyable than it should be. A slower cure and removing more sugar leaves during trimming could have helped the end result.
Experience
Our bag was part of lot FRC1122 with a package date of September 13, 2022. Listed with 18.3% THC content and a price tag of $35.95 for 7 grams, we felt Potluck’s Frosted Cherry offered some decent value if you’re buying on a budget and don’t have a high tolerance. There was little to no mental impairment after smoking even though we did feel a mild body high that was only slightly noticeable but equally easy to ignore. If you’re trying to pick a strain that is both low cost and not overpowering then this one might be worth checking out.
