Pure Hemp Classic Regular Rolling Papers Review & Photos

Pure Hemp's classic regular size hemp wraps offer an alternative to tree-based rolling papers.

Pure Hemp started making rolling papers in 1996 because they wanted to make a tree-free rolling paper alternative more widely available.

I remember seeing this brand before I even started using cannabis so they’ve definitely been floating around here for a long time. However we still never use them so it will be interesting to see how they burn. From what we can find they’re made of pesticide free and chemical free hemp which is obviously a good starting point.

We’re reviewing their Classic Regular Size which are single wide rolling papers and the ideal size when you only have time for a quick J.

According to their website Pure Hemp’s Classic Regulars are made in Spain by Miquel y Costas using ultra thin 13 GSM watermarked hemp rolling paper. Miquel y Costas is a paper mill company that’s been operating since 1725 so they know a thing or two about paper.

For reference, even though the paper is described as ultra thin, it definitely felt thicker then Zig-Zags but not as heavy as something like Players’ brand (which we find to be like cigarette paper).

Pure Hemp’s thickness would be good for oil since it will not tear as easy as Zig-Zags.

There is not much to cover here. Pure Hemp is neither easier or harder to roll with when compared to other papers.

But since they’re thicker some users who are new to rolling might find this slightly heavier paper easier to spin. However if you’re familiar with rolling paper from any brand then you know they pretty much all work the same way.

Pure Hemp sells these Classic Regular Size rolling papers on their website for $32 (USD) for a box that contains 25 booklets and 50 leaves inside each booklet.

In terms of overall value, some of this is subjective and really comes down to the personal preference of the user. If you prefer a slightly thicker paper or one made from hemp instead of trees then you’ll find this brand offers good value. But if you’re preference is very thin rolling paper then you’ll probably find Pure Hemp just a slight bit too thick.

Pure Hemp Classic Regular Rolling Papers offer an alternative to tree-based rolling papers. This comes down to personal preference because if you don't mind a slightly thicker wrap then you'll find this brand offers good value. Since high school my friends and I have been recreational cannabis users so we decided to start Merry Jade after legalization in 2019. We review and photograph the different products then share them on this website. The rating system we use is called “SAFE” which stands for Smell, Appearance, Flavour and Experience. Each category gets a score out of 10.
