Rose Quartz from Queen of Bud is their version of Rosetta Stone, a sativa-dominant cultivar with a genetic connection to the legendary Jack Herer strain.
Most users describe the aroma as a peppery herbal with a mild sweet undertone. Combined with a flavour profile that’s reported to be a light, sweet citrus with a slightly sour exhale. Since this product is pre-rolled we won’t get to see the flower but the buds are apparently fluffy, spade-shaped and bright neon green with light orange hairs and a thick crystal trichome layer. It will be interesting to see how this compares to Queen of Bud’s Blue Topaz Pre-roll.

Smell
It didn’t take long to detect a very strong, almost potent sweet tropical fruit smell that seemed to come wafting out of the plastic doob tube. The aroma reminded us of a citrusy, sweet lollipop or a slushy from a walk-up bar on the beach. Stronger then expected given the fact it’s pre-rolled.
Appearance
Rose Quartz is packaged in a black cardboard box with a plastic tube inside. Both the box and tube have detailed information like lineage, packaged date along with terpene percentage and breakdown (learn more about how terpenes affect cannabis). In the tube there was 2 beautifully rolled 0.5 gram pre-rolls that are rolled with white papers, white tips and possibly hand-rolled, definitely hand-finished with the twist at the tops. The perfect size for stepping out for a quick smoke or you can smoke the whole pack if you’re built like that.
Flavour
We sparked them and got a very floral woody inhale that changed to a sweet diesel on exhale. The taste was extremely pleasant with each pull being very smooth but the taste was quite different then the smell. Even though the smoke was not harsh we found the flavour did not come close to the potent level of the aroma.
Experience
Listed with 19.1% THC content and a price tag of $13.95 for two half gram pre-rolled joints (or $39.95 for 3.5 grams), we found Queen of Bud’s Rose Quartz PRJ produced a very light-weight feeling that made us relax a bit without getting tired while delivering a euphoric feeling that can switch up any type of mood for the better. The high itself was similar strength as Cookies Gary Payton Pre-roll even though that flower was a hybrid. If you’re looking for a flavourful sativa that won’t knock you out and has a solid genetic history then you might want to check out Rose Quartz.
