Queen West ’94 was started by two brothers who were master growers with years of experience. They describe their process as old skool… but in a good way. For example, OG Kush from Queen West ’94 is cultivated in a soil garden while being hand watered. Their facility uses state of the art lighting with a fully controllable HVAC systems to guarantee the quality of the plants.
This all sounds great, but how does this cultivar measure against similar products like Table Top’s 90’s OG Kush?

Smell
The product arrived in a black and green medium sized bag with resealable top. This was our first time coming across Queen West ’94 and OG Kush seems to be their only product so we were optimistic. Tearing open the bag released a strong piney herbal scent with just a hint of spice at the end.
Appearance
We dumped out the contents and noticed one large stems that had separated from the bud. Aside from this one mangled piece and a dry few flakes, the bud itself looks great and is a very healthy bright green. There are also quite a few strong orange-red hairs and a noticeable coating of sugar-like trichomes which is difficult to appreciate on first glance.
Flavour
Presenting with the same strength as with its aroma, Queen West ’94 OG Kush has a strong earthy and herbal flavour with a spicy peppery pine undertone. We did feel it was a bit harsh on the throat at the end of each toke. This could probably be fixed by including a moisture package inside the bag.
Experience
Queen West’s OG Kush has an aroma profile that perfectly matches the flavour. Now for the meat and potatoes. It has a strong high that is two-pronged. The mental effect experienced is akin to being easily distracted coupled with a physically relaxing body tingle. Great for a trip; but you don’t want to be the one in charge!
