Warlock is an award winning indica-dominant strain that was created by crossing the classic strains Skunk #1 and Afghani.
The buds are known for their dense and pepper-shaped appearance, with a striking emerald green hue, thick furry orange hairs which are adorned with a fine layer of nearly translucent trichomes. With a high THC level and dominant terpenes which include caryophyllene, myrcene and bisabolol, Warlock is a true representation of its earthy, skunky origins elevated by its fragrant fruity sweet and sour nuances.
Let’s delve deeper and see how this compares to other indica products like Tweed’s Afghan Kush or Redecan’s Animal Rntz.

Smell
The aroma of Redecan’s Warlock is intriguing and complex, making it difficult to pinpoint a specific scent. Upon initial inspection, we thought there was a subtle sourness, which was nicely balanced with a delicate sweetness. There are also faint traces of fruitiness in the mix, although this was extremely mild and not everyone picked it up. While the scent was pleasant, it’s not necessarily one that stands out in a memorable way. Nonetheless, the unique blend was interesting and worthy of further exploration.
Appearance
The flower came packaged in Redecan’s standard black plastic bag, unfortunately without a humidity shield, which is a bit disappointing as it may impact the overall freshness of the product. However, the labelling on the container provides all the necessary details such as the brand and product name, THC and CBD totals, weight, contact details, lot number, and packaged date, which is useful information for consumers. Upon inspection, the buds were dark green, conical shaped, with vibrant orange pistils, and a medium thickness trichome layer. While their appearance was decent, they were noticeably dry and crispy to the touch. Our biggest complaint about this dried flower is the stems which were both very hard and thick, making it difficult to grind without getting small pieces in the joints, which become frustrating half way through the bag.
Flavour
After rolling a joint and smoking, we noticed a sweet herbal flavour on inhale, with a mild sour element on exhale. While the taste wasn’t particularly strong, it was well-balanced and enjoyable, leaving a pleasant taste in the mouth. The flower burned evenly and smoothly producing a nice ash without any oil ring.
Experience
Warlock from Redecan was priced at $24.95 for 3.5 grams, or $129.95 for 28 grams, which is reasonable considering the quality and THC levels of 20.2%. Our bag was packaged on January 2, 2023 and was part of lot number (L)2851230102. The smoking experience was smooth and enjoyable, producing a medium-strength hybrid high. This included a physically relaxing component that created a sense of calmness and relaxation. Overall, this one delivered a calming high but despite that, we wouldn’t order again due to its lack of standout characteristics and very stemmy nature. Nevertheless, it may be a suitable option for those seeking a new strain that is mellow, relaxing and reasonably priced.
