HPG13 is sometimes called PG-13 and Parental Guidance and was created when the rare HP-13 was crossed with G-13 resulting in a potent indica-dominate flower.
Ritual’s HPG13 buds are described as dense, solid and trichome covered with green and purple tones throughout. This strain is known for a light coffee scent which is activated by their curing process. Commonly when the buds are squeezed they release a slightly skunky, fruity aroma.
So how does HPG13 from Ritual compare to other indica strains like MK Ultra?

The product arrived from Ritual in an industry standard mid size plastic bag with resealable top. Right after we opened the bag the smell was instant and strong – we were overcome by the distinct aroma of swedish berries candy. Each time we breathed in the bud smelled sweeter and sweeter. There was some similarities to Mother of Berries.
Rituals HPG13 looks great. The buds appear like compressed bales of speckled green hay that are fluffy on the outside but very dense on the inside. Combine this with the fiery orange hairs which are actually hard to see due to a very thick layer of frosty trichomes. The general first impression actually reminded us of Citizen Stash’s Stonewall.
Given how HPG13 smelled we kinda expected a similar profile for it’s flavour. But that sweet berry aroma entirely disappears behind the strong flavour profile of a herbally pine. Definitely not what was expected however since it was not overpowering we found it quite enjoyed.
Listed with 20.9% THC content, we thought HPG13 from Ritual was a solid product. It delivers a very strong almost couch-lock body buzz with a thick mental cloud which is enough to give anyone difficulty with complex or high attention activities. It might be too strong if you have a low tolerance for THC, however experienced smokers may find this one perfect for the end of the day.
