Spinach Blueberry is an indica-dominant strain that was originally created when Purple Thai was crossed with Thai.
When I found out that Spinach not only grew a Blueberry strain, but sold it at a really affordable price I was naturally intrigued. So we ordered a half quarter to see what you get for around $29. How did Blueberry by Spinach compare to their other products?
Opening the container this time around gave us pause due to the last experience with this product so our fingers were crossed. Thankfully while this bud is MUCH better and actually smells like the familiar blueberry aroma it does seem a touch weak which a moisture pack would probably help with. But at least the odd chemical smell from before is gone.
We couldn’t believe the night and day comparison of what we got the first time around versus this time. Nice solid spongy bright green buds with a light layer of trichomes. One day, every order of cannabis will be consistent unlike these early years of legalization.
Really nice taste! There’s the delicious flavour of sweet blueberries we’ve longed for. However as with the aroma, it could definitely be stronger but is on par with average quality buds albeit with a touch of harshness.
Given how awful Spinach’s Blueberry looked and performed during the first review this version is solid step up. We found it delivered a moderately strong high that relaxes both the body and the mind. Soothing and peaceful. However we’d still take Pure Sunfarms Blueberry Kush over this product.
We opened the container and were surprised right away. This definitely does not smell anything like the blueberry strains I’ve enjoyed in the past. There was noticeable damp chemical smell?!
Examining the buds in closer detail, they are dark green, with brown rusty hairs, compact yet bushy looking. Quite different than the bright green vibrant frosty Blueberry strains I’ve encountered. The plant felt very fresh as though there had been zero curing after harvest. Did this get cut and packaged the same day?
Whomever smoked this strain and tasted blueberries needs their taste buds checked! All 3 of us here at merryjade.com tried this and nobody tasted anything close to a berry flavour. There is a hint of spice, but nothing jumped out. Much like the smell and appearance… the flavour profile was a disappointment.
Perhaps a specific cleaner is used for their containers that contaminates their product’s smell and taste. Or someone is hoping no one would notice how misrepresented this package and product are! I REALLY hope for Spinach’s sake its not the latter! The high from this bud is a mild with a bit of body buzz. Nothing memorable. If you love blueberry then check our Pure Sunfarms Blueberry Kush review for a solid value buy that is quite flavourful.
