Wedding Cake is a potent hybrid strain that was made when Triangle Kush was crossed with Animal Mints.
Spinach describes their Wedding Cake as potent with dense buds, a frosty layer trichomes and a wonderful citrusy aroma and flavour. Not too surprising when you consider this strain is known for it’s intense sweet, fruity, earthy, and spicy flavours with just a hint of vanilla. So how does Wedding Cake from Spinach compare to their Sensi Star cultivar or their Rockstar Kush?

Smell
We’ve come to enjoy several of the ‘cake’ strains and are looking forward to Spinach’s Wedding Cake as the price (like many of their products) was quite low. The moment we had the lid opened and aroma was released we knew we had something good here. The strong scent of earthy and sweet fruit with an almost citrus undertone was quite a bit more intense then we expected, especially considering there is no moisture pack or terpene shield in the container.
Appearance
These buds have a nice visual appeal. Being medium in size, a little compact but dense looking, a little dry but well trimmed. Plus each one is covered in a nice thick yellow trichome layer, sparks of orange hairs everywhere, lush green tones and even a few purple leave tips makes these buds look exceptionally tasty.
Flavour
Considering how dry this bud was we were surprised by how much taste had retained. It’s simply wonderful when a flavour comes through so smoothly. This bud smokes as if you’re eating a lemon vanilla pound cake with a soft earthy pine frosting which is incredibly delicious and as a plus it is not nearly as sweet as it sounds. However it can be a bit harsh towards the end.
Experience
Listed with 22.2% THC content, we found Wedding Cake from Spinach was a solid indica hybrid especially when you factor in it’s low price point. Instead of getting a straight heavy buzz all around, it delivered a clear energized mental state that was coupled with a moderately strong and evenly distributed body buzz that was relaxing like a massage. Even though the buds were dry and flaky we still preferred this product over Weed Me’s Wedding Cake strain.
