Purple Punch is known for it’s punchy flavour and smell thanks to a terpene profile that includes farnesene, limonene and caryophyllene .
It’s hereditary origins are strong as Purple Punch was created by crossing Larry OG with Granddaddy Purple. The end result was a trichome covered plant with dense buds and sweet aroma. The aroma is unmistakable and often reminds people of sweet grape candy, blueberry muffins or even Kool-Aid. Due to the high levels of THC this strain can deliver a strong head and body buzz, initially landing between the eyes and settling down into the limbs.
But how does Purple Punch compare to their other products like Table Top’s 90s OG Kush?
Check our review, rating and photos below.
Smell
The product arrived from Table Top in an industry standard plastic bag with zipper seal. However we couldn’t believe our noses when we opened it for the first time. The aroma quite literally began to explode before we even had the package fully opened. This has been pretty rare and we’ve reviewed a lot of products. A truly overwhelming smell that reminded us of sweet purple grapes or possibly powered grape juice mix. Awesome and exactly what you expect from Purple Punch.
Appearance
Visually this product looked great. Lovely popcorn-sized buds that were a little leafy and dry however still dense. Vibrant light brown hairs pop out easily when contrasted against the greens and thick yellow-tinted coating of trichomes that is easily visible to the naked eye. Interestingly we did not notice much purple in terms of colour on any of the buds (see below).
Flavour
Purple Punch delivers a a wonderfully soothing yet very strong flavour of sweet purple grapes. However using large amounts in a single session resulted in the flavour becoming more and more harsh. Overall the flavour is nice but the smell is much stronger.
Experience
Table Top’s Purple Punch is great! A new smell profile we haven’t encountered before – grapes! Capped off with its incredible appearance and there’s just the final piece of the puzzle remaining. The high it delivers is very strong but well balanced. The mental buzz while strong still allowed us to focus as needed with little distraction. The body buzz felt equivalent to a strong muscle relaxant. Given the low price point and high potency, we recommend Table Top’s Purple Punch.
