Although Thrifty Stixx did not provide any information about this flowers lineage, Waffle Cone is typically an indica dominant strain that is made by crossing Jet Fuel Gelato with Dosilato.
We searched around but could not find any information on this brand or the parent company (Cannacure Corp.) so all we have to go on is the doob tube label. The primary terpenes have been listed along with a flavour profile which is suppose to have elements of both berries and vanilla. Let’s see how it compares with similar products like Good Supply’s Starwalker Kush Pre-roll or the delicious tasted Grape Galena Pre-roll by Tommy’s Craft.

Upon opening the black plastic doob tube with the sealed lid, we were immediately greeted by a mild to moderate strength herbal nutty aroma that had a hint of pepper. The scent was earthy and woody, with a slight undertone of spice that gave it a distinct character. We noticed that there wasn’t much of a fruity or sweet smell, which could be due to the strain’s genetic makeup or the way it was grown and cured. However, we were curious to see if the flavour profile would differ when we lit the joint. The herbal notes were predominant and provided a pleasant aroma that was not overpowering. Whereas the nutty scent was noticeable and added to the overall complexity of the smell. The subtle hint of pepper provided a touch of spiciness that gave the aroma an interesting kick.
The packaging of the product is informative and functional, with the brand name, product name, and strain type listed on the front. We also noted that the THC and CBD totals were clearly displayed, along with the dominant terpenes, package date, and lot number on the back side of the label. This attention to detail gave us confidence in the product’s quality and purity. The pre-rolled joint itself looked well-constructed, with a white hemp rolling paper and a white filter tip. The paper was smooth and evenly wrapped, indicating a skilled hand in the rolling process. It’s white filter tip added a touch of elegance to the overall appearance, and we appreciated the attention to detail. However, what caught our eye the most was the little bit of oil or resin seeping through the paper. While this could be seen as a negative aspect, we were intrigued by the possibility that it could add an extra layer of flavour or potency to the smoking experience, rich in resin and essential oils.
We were disappointed to find that the joint did not have a distinct flavour profile. We were hoping for a sweet taste, but unfortunately, we could barely detect any taste at all. It was difficult to tell whether this was due to the quality of the flower or if the product had dried out in the container. That being said, the smoke was not harsh, and we were able to enjoy it without any irritation or discomfort. The lack of flavour did not take away from the smoking experience, but it would have been nice to have more depth and complexity in the taste. It’s possible that the strain used in the pre-roll did not have a strong flavour profile to begin with. Alternatively, it could be due to the storage or handling. Whatever the reason, we felt they missed an opportunity for the product to stand out.
Our pre-roll was part of lot number CAD787, which was packaged on December 21, 2022. The product was listed as containing 21.3% THC, and priced at $6.95 for a 1 gram pre-rolled joint. We found the price to be reasonable when compared to other similar products on the market as the high from the Waffle Cone pre-rolled joint was physically relaxing, with a moderate cloudy feeling that made us want to sit down and just chill. It was not too overpowering, making it a great option for sharing with a friend, unless you have a super high tolerance to THC. We appreciated the smooth and even burn of the joint, which allowed us to fully enjoy the smoking experience without any interruptions. The lack of harshness in the smoke made it easy to inhale and exhale, contributing to the overall enjoyable experience. While we were disappointed with the lack of flavour in the joint, we still enjoyed the relaxing effects of the strain. It provided a pleasant and smooth smoking experience, and we would recommend it to those looking for a physically relaxing high without the risk of getting too overwhelmed.
