Tweed GG#4 (sometimes called Gorilla Glue #4) is a hybrid strain created from a three-way cross that included Chem Sister, Sour Dubb and Chocolate Diesel.
Users describe it’s aroma and flavour profile as a combination of woody and earthy with distinct citrusy undertones. Tweed indicates the buds are small to medium in size, fluffy and covered in dense layer of trichome crystals.
Last year we reviewed TGOD’s Organic GG#4 and thought it was not bad so it will be interesting to see how this product compares.

Smell
GG#4 arrived from Tweed in a matte green plastic pouch with resealable zipper opening. Tweed recently changed from metal tin containers to these plastic bags; however so far from what we’ve seen it does not appear to be keeping the flower any fresher, but let’s see if this one is any better. We tore open the package and detected almost no smell. After concentrating quite hard we began to smell a super mild straw or hay aroma which was less then impressive. Overall hard to score the smell as there really wasn’t much of anything.
Appearance
After dumping out the contents it was easy to see why the smell was gone. If you’re familiar with this brand then likely you know why too. No humidity shield was included so the bud had totally dried out. Not only was it dry but the buds were very tiny, leafy with a fluffy look and stemmy. There was a decent trichome layer but visually it’s average to below average flower especially if you compare to Tweed’s Powdered Donuts.
Flavour
Given the dry state and lack of aroma, we didn’t expect much taste however oddly enough there was more to it than the flavour profile. Inhaling tasted like wheat cheerios and on exhale there was a subtle straw/hay with a pronounced dank herbal end note. However most of us found the smoke harsh and not as enjoyable as Tweed’s Green Cush (another hybrid for this brand).
Experience
Listed with 20.2% THC content and price tag of $22.95 for 3.5 grams, we found Tweed’s GG#4 was similar to most of their products – it does the job but don’t expect much in terms of flavour, smell or appearance. The strain created a very light mental fog while leaving the body feeling a moderate physical effect similar to being worn out. Overall it was a light, barely noticeable high which would be good for users with low THC tolerance but regular smokers will find this inadequate.
