Ultra Sour is a sativa-dominant hybrid that was created when East Coast Sour Diesel was crossed with MK Ultra.
For the most part this strain is known for having light airy green buds with fiery orange pistils. In terms of aroma, most users report a complex dank diesel smell combined with a zesty citrus aroma due to its dominant terpenes being terpinolene, limonene and caryophyllene.
Naturally we’re curious how this product compares against competitors like BBOB’s Ultra Sour, Edison’s Limelight and Haven’s Noisy Neighbour.

Smell
The flower arrived from UP in the same red plastic bag with resealable opening as previous products. We tore into the package and instantly could recognize the smell. Ultra Sour always seems to have a muted smell but a pleasant one that reminds of us earthy citrus like fresh limes.
Appearance
Like previous flower products from UP this one did not include a humidity shield inside the bag. The buds were small to medium size, spongy and some had a bit of excess stem and leaf. The colours were a light green with pale orange hairs which were accented with a superb dusting of yellow fuzzy trichomes.
Flavour
We found UP’s version of Ultra Sour was consistent among the other brands we’ve reviewed. The taste matches the aroma and once again reminds us of earthy limes. A zesty citrus not a sweet one. When you inhale there was a moderately strong earthy note that springs to life in full lime flavour on exhale.
Experience
Listed with 23.1% THC content and price tag of $26.95 for 3.5 grams, we found UP’s Ultra Sour provided decent value for the money. This effect was quite pleasing as it delivered a strong calming effect mentally combined with a light to moderate relaxing body vibe which tended to disappear quite quickly. If you enjoy Ultra Sour then this version from UP should not disappoint.
