Stone Sour from Wagners is a hybrid strain that was created when Lemon Tree was crossed with Sour Diesel.
Users describe this flower as being very strong in terms of potency with with large, sticky trichomes. The flavour profile has a citrusy fuel primary with a distinct Kush undertone. Wagners believes this strain delivers on their promise of growing consistent quality and full flavour flower. Let’s see how this compares to Wagners’ Cherry Jam or their delicious Tiki Rain strain.

Smell
The flower arrived from Wagners in an industry standard grey coloured bag with resealable zipper opening. We cracked open the seal which released a weak herbal aroma with a slight undertone of zesty citrus. What seemed to be a mild sweetness note was easily overpowered by a more prominent sour sauce aroma. The thought of sweet n’ sour came to mind and upon grinding up this flower, we noticed sour citrus elements became much more pronounced.
Appearance
The front of the bag is labeled with standard information such as brand and product name, THC and CBD ratio, package date, weight, lot number and contact details. The back unfortunately only included a simple diagram on how to open this style of resealable bag as there are a few kinds of resealable bags used in the industry. In terms of the buds appearance, we noted our half quarter was made up of a few small buds with one medium bud. All were marbled green with a thick trichome layer, quite dense and dry to the touch. There are a few dark brown hairs that are embedded into the buds making them difficult to see. Plus, some of the excess leaf should have been removed during the final trim.
Flavour
We rolled a nice sized joint in the morning and became intrigued by the lack of taste when inhaling yet it had a stronger sour citrus taste on exhale. The flavour again brought on thoughts of sweet n’ sour sauce without the sweetness this time. Trying some of the same flower in the glass pipe we received with The Very Happy Kit seemed to enhance the flavour as the inhale now has a brief sour note before exploding into the pure sourness that is clear on exhale. If you’re a fan of zesty citrus cannabis then you’re going to enjoy Stone Sour’s flavour.
Experience
Our bag of Stone Sour from Wagners was part of lot number 0007F with a package date of November 4, 2022. Listed with 28.2% THC content and a price point of $31.95 for 3.5 grams, we felt this flower offered decent value for the money even if the smell and flavour profiles don’t appeal to everyone. The high itself was moderately strong and included mild body tingles that reminded us of goosebumps, plus a heavy eyes sensation and a mentally sluggish focus ability. However if we had to pick, then we’d choose this strain over Wagners Dark Helmet.
