MK Ultra from Daily Special is an indica-dominant strain that was created by crossing OG Kush with G13.
Daily Special describes the aroma as being a woody and earthy scent with piney undertones. The flavour and aroma are produced by a terpene profile that includes beta-myrcene, trans-caryophyllene, limonene, guaiol, and alpha-humulene. Typically MK Ultra buds are dark in colour with bright orange hairs that contrast nicely against the deep green leaves. We reviewed Aurora’s MK Ultra and thought it was decent for the price, so how does Daily Special compare?

Smell
We only found this product in a 14 gram bag instead of the customary 3.5 grams. It arrived in a larger sized yellow plastic bag with resealable zipper opening. We took a deep inhale but found the smell was quite weak. There was an initial aroma of earthy herbs before being overpowered with a hay smell. Like the type of hay you find on a farm.
Appearance
Daily Special’s MK Ultra looks decent. The buds themselves are small to medium size but quite light and fluffy. They were also quite leafy with shades of green and orange that contrast well against each other. We also thought the trichome layer looked a bit thin. No moisture shield was included in the bag so the buds were quite dry and flaky.
Flavour
The flavour profile reminds of us of the aroma. The best description would be moderate at best and certainly not memorable. Producing a strong herbal taste with hints of hay, the flavour is really nothing special.
Experience
Most users don’t buy Daily Special products for the smell or flavour. The low price for a decent quality product is the real reason. Priced at $72.94 for 14 grams with 20% THC content, there is potential value here depending on your tolerance and budget. We found the high was moderate much like its flavour and aroma. There was a mild mental distraction effect and a light relaxing body buzz which seems appropriate for those with low THC tolerance. However if you’re a regular user this one might be a tad weak.
