A few weeks ago we checked out Tweed’s Green Cush strain and thought it was good even though we ordered thinking it was Green Kush.
This sativa-dominant cultivar from Canaca is known for it’s strong aroma reminds many users of it’s Skunk #1 lineage. These distinct aromas of pepper are mixed with zesty, sweet and earthy notes with undertones of citrus. Don’t let the name fool you because Green Cush is commonly dark purple, dense and covered in crystals. The buds are typically conical as they love soaking up as much sunlight as possible.
So how does this product compare to Canaca’s Purps or Canaca’s Alien Dawg?

Smell
Canaca’s Green Cush arrived in an industry standard white plastic container with resealable security lid. Opening the container released a much stronger and very different aroma compared to Tweed’s version of this strain. Canaca’s flower has a strong smell of herbally floral with a mild under tone of citrus or limes.
Appearance
Canaca included a moisture shield which definitely helped keeps the buds spongy and fresh. In terms of size, they were a mix of small to medium sized nugs that were light and fluffy looking but actually felt quite dense. The wide array of green shades mixed in with the specks of deep purple are stunning and that’s not taking into account the frosty trichome layer trying to steal the show.
Flavour
As noted in the aroma, the flavour profile is follows a similar path and is equally bold and consistent. Pretty much from the first inhale we noted a very strong floral note which faded into a smoother citrusy lime taste at the end. This strain has a nice and refreshing flavour and a pretty smooth smoke.
Experience
Canaca’s Green Cush is listed as having 21.3% THC content and a price tag of $26.50 for 3.5 grams. Even though this strain is sativa-dominant, it definitely felt closer to a hybrid. We found it produced a very strong body fatigue feeling while also creating a moderately strong sensation of mental relaxation which was pleasant but may not be what pure sativa hunters are after (no body all mind high). Given the reasonable price you still might want to check it out.
