Smell
The product arrived from Green Monke in tall-boy style bright orange aluminium can with a security seal. As soon as we cracked open the tab and broke the seal we released a fruity citrus note with undertones of sugary sweetness. Similar to Fanta orange soda.
Appearance
The can contains a lot of information including the ingredients, nutritional value and package date. The drink itself is carbonated but less bubbly then traditional soda. The orange colour is pale orange like that of freshly squeezed orange juice that was watered down.
Flavour
Due to the light carbonation it was very easy to enjoy the tangerine sweetness this beverage offered. The bubbles made it a little more fun to drink kind of like champagne. This drink tasted really good with very little aftertaste from the THC and CBD.
Experience
Priced at $4.95 for a 350mL can with 3mg of THC and 6mg of CBD, we enjoyed Green Monke’s Orange Passionfruit sparkling soda. After drinking there was a mild relaxing feeling but unfortunately no giddiness like previous edibles. This would be a great beverage for users with little or no tolerance for cannabis products as it’s similar to having a beer just like Keef’s Orange Soda. However like most edibles available on the Canadian market currently this will likely not be sufficient for users for higher tolerance levels.
