Today we’re reviewing Foray Fast CBN Blackberry Lavender Soft Chews that include a combination of CBN:CBD and are apparently delicious tasting with little aftertaste. It will be interesting to see how this compares to other edibles like Wyld’s Pear Soft Chews.
Smell
Peeling open the seal and sticking our nose into the bag, we were hit with a very sugary sweet berry smell with a hint of Play-DOH. Definitely intriguing aroma that made us want to dig right in.
Appearance
Coming in a light burgundy, resealable package, Foray lists the THC, CBD, and CBN amount per unit, total and the ingredients. Listing at 0.3mg/unit THC, 10mg/unit CBD, and 2.5mg/unit of CBN, this will definitely be a night night edible. Opening the pack reveals 30 pinkish/red gummies coated in sugar with each shaped as a hexagon. They look absolutely delicious and feel very squishy so they were not hard to chew.
Flavour
The initial flavour is fantastic with a strong sweet berry flavour and a hint of lavender. The sugar coating melted away in our mouths. As we continue chewing, more of a bitter, sourness comes out which was not very pleasing. Considering it’s more for micro dosing before bed, the bitter taste won’t be much of an issue if you’re only having one. But if you have a few more then you might not enjoy the flavour as much. Overall, it can be difficult to mask that cannabis tang so we’re willing to try more from Foray to see how well they did with their other products.
Experience
Listed for $19.95 for a bag of 30 soft chews, we found Foray’s Fast Blackberry Lavender gummies definitely kicked in quicker than the average edible. Within 15-20 minutes, we started to feel our eyes get heavy, and a relaxing, tingling feeling take over our body. For most, one gummy should do the trick, but considering our high tolerance, we indulged a little bit more. Having about 5 gummies each (THC=1.5mg, CBD= 50mg, CBN= 12.5mg), we definitely could feel a difference from the gummy. After fighting to stay awake while watching a movie, at some point we both fell asleep, and had the most restful, peaceful nap, that was a little difficult to snap out of in the morning. Make sure you test these out before having to work or get up for something early, because you may feel groggy. This is definitely a night time gummy because the CBN acts as a sleep aid, so we strongly recommend not planning on doing anything but relaxing and sleeping after consuming.
