Today we’re reviewing a flavourful indica from Muskoka Grown called Pink Vanilla OG.
Searching for additional information about this strain didn’t turn up much. Some sources indicate a Pink Kush and OG Kush combination which makes sense but doesn’t explain the vanilla component. As of writing this Muskoka Grown’s website doesn’t mention this cultivar so if you know more please share in the comments below and we’ll update the post.
Supposedly Pink Vanilla OG has a very pungent Kush-like smell with distinct sweet and spicy undertones. In terms of flavour profile they describe it as diesel and vanilla mix with a peppery aftertaste. So how does this flower compare to Muskoka’s other products like their Chem OG?

Smell
The product arrived in the same nitrogen sealed, tuna style, black container that Muskoka Grown seems to favour. We popped the lid off and immediately picked up a light musky floral aroma before an overpowering vanilla scent took over completely. The vanilla smell was so strong it nearly drowns out any secondary aroma like the musky herbal. It might sound like we’re complaining, but we’re not… Pink Vanilla OG smells great.
Appearance
The buds look great. For the most part, they’re all small sized nuggets that are super dense and packed full of colour. Bright green, tan orange and a dark purple all play wonderfully together. The trichome layer also looks quite dense, yet not dripping in crystals. Some of the buds were a bit dry, but not much so these nitrogen sealed canisters must do a decent job locking in freshness.
Flavour
This has to be one of the nicer tasting herbal flavoured strains we’ve reviewed so far. The best way to describe would be something like LA Kush Cake or Wedding Cake strain except instead of pine or lemon creaminess… swap that for a smooth herbal. The smoke itself is just as smooth so if you enjoy Kush flavoured weed then you’re probably going to enjoy Pink Vanilla OG.
Experience
Muskoka Grown’s Pink Vanilla OG is a tasty indica listed with 21.1% THC content and a price tag of $32.95 for 3.5 grams, we found it delivered a very strong high split equally between a strong mental effect that felt like your mind had been emptied while your body received a moderately strong vibe like your legs being tired. Overall a nice experience, good value for the money and better then Muskoka’s Fruit Pie strain.
