Pure Sunfarms Jet Fuel Gelato Review

Pure Sunfarms Jet Fuel Gelato is a hybrid that was created by crossing Gelato 45, High Octane OG and Jet Fuel G6.

As you might expect by the name, Jet Fuel Gelato produces a gassy diesel aroma with subtle undertones of citrus and pepper. This is likely from it’s dominant terpenes being beta-caryophyllene, myrcene and linalool. The actual buds are dense and covered in trichomes giving this cultivar a white appearance, while the green leaves feature accents of purple and coral. 

Overall this brand has been hit and miss. We liked Pure Sunfarms Blueberry Kush and thought their Blue Dream strain was good, but we were not fans of their Pink Kush or Headband strains. So how does this product compare?

Smell

The product arrived in Pure Sunfarms standard green plastic bag with resealable zipper opening. When ripped open the package expecting a pungent diesel but were surprised by the less then potent aroma that was actually hard to identify. We decided the smell was close to a really weak diesel gas with undertones of earthy floral. Not a bad smell but nowhere near as powerful as we expected.

Appearance

No humidity shield or moisture pack was included inside the bag so the buds were a bit dry and crispy. In terms of appearance, most of the nugs were quite small (popcorn or smaller), bright green, orange hairs and a thick trichome layer. A couple of the buds had excess leaf and could have been trimmed a bit closer but this is not the worse we’ve seen from this brand.

Flavour

The flavour profile is an interesting 60/40 split. The split is between the bold diesel gas taste running into a strong floral after note. Overall a nice flavour and better then the smell, but the smoke was a bit harsh likely due to the flower being so dry.

Experience

Listed with 22.8% THC content and a price of $22.95 for 3.5 grams, we found Jet Fuel Gelato from Pure Sunfarms delivered a very strong well balanced high. This included a mild physical buzz like a tingling sensation on your skin as if you’re getting goosebumps combined with a mental road block feeling similar to a thick cloud that keeps you from clearly focusing your thoughts. Given the low price point and strong high you might want to check this one out.
