If you’re a fan of smoking big joints or blunts then you’re going to love this device.
Granted this won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but Purple Rose Supply’s CannaMold is one of the cooler products we’ve come across recently. If you’re not familiar with a cannagar then you’re in for a treat because this is one of the easiest ways to make them at home.
Forgot about rolling multiple joints because this monster will burn all night long.
But is it worth the money?
Quality of Construction
The Cannagar Mold Kit from Purple Rose Supply arrived in a simple cardboard box that was divided up into sections which snuggly held the various components.
In terms of construction, it’s made from wood with a black paint job and purple hardware. In addition to the actual mold, you also receive a wooden packing tool and a package of wooden skewers. These are used to create a cavity down the middle so air can travel through otherwise smoking this would be next to impossible.
The final part of the kit is a wood mouth piece that’s perfectly designed to fit your cannagar so you have something to hold onto while it burns. Overall the product feels well made and designed for heavy use.
Ease of Use
The G2 Cannagar Mold is available in multiple sizes based on your need.
- Personal size can hold 2 to 4 grams
- The version we got is “small” and holds 3.5 to 7 grams
- Largest unit can hold 10 to 14 grams
Creating the cannagar is very simple and straight forward. After grinding your cannabis add in a few pinches, pack it down and repeat. Just do a little bit at a time. After you’ve completely filled up the device, store in a cool dry place for a minimum of 3 hours (overnight is recommended for better results). It took about 1 hour for us to grind and pack.
In case you’re curious, we used RYOT’s Kannastor Grinder so the bud has a nice consistency. This multiple chamber hand grinder does a wonderful job creating flakes instead of powder which work much better for rolling/packing.
Overall Value
The “small” model (which technically is their medium) costs $49 USD which is not bad at all when you consider the quality construction and re-usability.
Purple Rose Supply offers free shipping on orders over $100 so it might be a good idea to grab an extra one as a gift to save a bit of money.
It’s not something we’d use everyday, but certainly will be something we break out on weekends, parties or when a large group of people descends. This is one of those products that’s worth checking out for the novelty if for no other reason.
