Superflower’s Buns N Roses is an indica-dominant flower known for high levels of THC.
We tried researching this strain but found very little information about it’s lineage or origins except for what Superflower provided on their own website. In terms of aroma and flavour profile, users describe it as being similar to fresh baked cookies, cinnamon and vanilla. The buds typically are dark, sticky and covered in a frosted layer of white trichomes. Of course this sounds delicious, but how does Buns N Roses from Superflower smoke?

Smell
This is our first review of a Superflower product so we really did not what to expect in terms of quality. Buns N Roses arrived in an industry standard white plastic bag with resealable top. We ripped open the bag and were met head-on with a combination of sweet and fresh floral bouquets mixed with a subtle gassy undertone. It was definitely not pungent or strong, but the interesting combination was strangely pleasing.
Appearance
Superflower described the buds as having a dark colour but we found them to be quite bright. In fact, they were almost fluorescent despite having excess dark leaves. Hidden amongst the buds are light orange hairs seemingly holding things together. Plus, there’s a snow-like dusting of trichomes that adds a frosty effect. Visually Buns N Roses from Superflower looks nice but could have been given another round of trimming before being packaged.
Flavour
The flavour is quite interesting given this combo of sweet flowers and subtle gassy notes. After inhaling each time there’s an immediate gassy flavour for a brief second before sweetening into a floral musk. However you almost don’t notice the gassy intro after you’ve been smoking it for a while.
Experience
Buns N’ Roses from Superflower is a decent indica that delivered a strong overall high comprising of mild cerebral affects combined with a moderately strong body buzz that mimicked the feeling of getting goosebumps in gentle waves. Given the lower price point of $28.95 for a half quarter this might be one to check out if you’re looking for something that leans into the sweet floral side of things. We preferred Black Sugar Rose from Color Cannabis in terms of sweet floral smell and flavour.
