Last week we reviewed one of the most expensive products available so today we felt it would be appropriate to look at one of the cheapest: Bonify Lemon Zkttl.
Priced at $14.99 for 3.5 grams, Lemon Zkttl from Bonify is the most affordable dried plant product we’ve seen so far and was listed as containing between 12-16% THC. This hybrid strain is a true indica-sativa blend that was cultivated by crossbreeding Las Vegas Lemon Skunk and Zktlz. As you would expect by the name, it’s suppose to have an aromatic zest of citrusy lemon while at the same time producing subtle earthy undertones from the myrcene and hints of spice from the caryophyllene.
So how does Lemon Zkttl from Bonify smoke?
Smell
This was our first encounter with Bonify so we didn’t know what to expect. Their Lemon Zkittl strain arrived in a standard white plastic bag with resealable top. Upon opening the package, an aroma that consisted of earthy floral and lemons greeted the nostrils. The lemony citrus was certainly more prominent but the smell seemed to disappear quite quickly.
Appearance
We were surprised to see Bonify included a moisture shield in the bag especially considering the price of the product. The buds looked dense and heavy but were actually quite light and fluffy, however the trimming could have been better as there was still a large amount of leaf. In terms of colour the buds were a mix of olive and dark green with bright orange hairs, but there was a noticeable lack of trichomes… which makes sense given the reduced THC percentage.
Flavour
Lemon Zkttl had an enjoyable floral lemony taste that is a close match to the aroma. The flavour was good but nothing unique or exceptional aside from that fact it seemed to last much longer then the smell. Although a moisture shield was included in the bag we still founding the smoke itself to be slightly harsh.
Experience
Bonify’s Lemon Zkttl strain is a decent hybrid though not strong enough for everyday or heavy users. This product delivered a very mild body buzz combined with a moderate mental high making it ideal for daytime usage or for tokers with a lower THC tolerance.
