Delta 9’s Sinaloa Gold is a hybrid throwback to classic landrace strains from the Sinaloa region of Mexico including the legendary Acapulco Gold.
This flower is described as having a light green colour pattern that includes purple highlights, light brown pistils and extensive trichome coverage. The buds are moderate in density with very little loose leaf or shake. In terms of aroma, Delta 9 says Sinaloa Gold is a combination of fresh floral with moderately strong earthy undertones making for relatively smooth, nice tasting smoke.
We’re curious how this stacks up to other hybrids from this brand like Delta 9’s White Out.

Smell
The flower arrived in the same white plastic container with security top as previous Delta 9 products we’ve reviewed. After removing the lid we actually didn’t smell anything as it seemed to take a few moments for the plant to breath. However even after a few minutes we found it nearly impossible to identify the aroma because it was so weak. Possibly a faint herbal but the plastic container was producing more smell then the actual flower.
Appearance
We dumped out the contents and confirmed what we thought (based off the non-existent aroma) – Delta 9 did not include a humidity shield in the container so the flower had dried to the point of turning to dust when compressed and the bottom of the container was full of shake. On the positive side, the buds were quite small in size but dense with multiple shades of darker greens and a visible layer of trichomes.
Flavour
Things seem to just get worse for this product. We rolled up a joint a decent sized joint to assure we could get a good impression of the flavour profile. However everyone thought this bud was one of the lest impressive flavours we’d experienced recently. With an inhale that reminded us of straw and an exhale of faint dry herbal, there wasn’t much to appreciate or dislike about this strain. It’s just very average and the dry state of the flower makes the smoke harsh.
Experience
Listed with 24% THC content and a price tag of $23.50 for 3.5 grams, Sinaloa Gold at first sounds like a great bargain but we found that was not the case. Ideal for those with a low tolerance or small budget, we found it delivered a decent high but misses many other fronts. Mentally the effect is so clear it is almost non-existent while the physical aspect of the effect is also very mild. Overall this one felt very average like Delta 9’s Apple Fritter. Even though the price is outstanding we think you still have better options.
