D. Bubba from Pure Sunfarms is an indica-dominant hybrid that was created by crossing D. Star (Death Star) with Bubba Kush.
In terms of flavour profile and aroma this strain is known for a spicy, earthy, gassy combination with a creamy coffee undertone. Pure Sunfarms indicates the buds are small but dense with dark green leaves that are completely covered in a thick coating of trichomes. Of course this description sounds good but advertising always does.
But how does it compare to other indica’s grown by this brand like Pure Sunfarms White Rhino or their Pink Kush?

Smell
We’ve reviewed a lot of products from Pure Sunfarms and this one arrived in the same industry standard green plastic bag with resealable zipper opening as previous orders. We tore open the package and really did not detect much in terms of aroma. The best was to describe would be a very mild pepper with an ultra light touch of herbal towards the end. Not the first strain from this brand that offered very little in terms of smell.
Appearance
We dumped out the contents and noted they did not include a humidity shield inside the bag so it pretty much goes without saying the flower was extremely dry. The buds themselves were small with lots of bold brown hairs, brighter green leaves and a light trichome layer. However we did notice a decent amount of leaf that should have been removed during trimming.
Flavour
In terms of flavour profile, the aroma gave a good clue as to what we should expect. The taste was a consistent mild black spicy pepper with a very subtle creamy herb undertone. Like salt and pepper chips when you can only note the pepper notes. Light enough to be enjoyable but also a harsher smoke due to the dry state of the flower.
Experience
Listed with 20.4% THC content and a price tag of $22.95 for 3.5 grams, we found this D. Bubba to be very dry but still able to deliver a strong body focused high creating a physical numbness while also producing a relaxing mental state. Overall not a bad for the price but Blueberry Kush from Pure Sunfarms still remains our favourite indica from this brand.
