Hindu Kush from Tweed is an indica-dominant strain with a high THC potential and long history.
The harsh conditions of its mountainous homeland have resulted in a flower that features a thick, protective layer of trichomes, often making it popular among hash producers. The dark green buds of Hindu Kush are often highlighted with orange coloured pistils and the aroma of junipers is created from the terpinolene contained within it’s terpene profile.
Tweed’s Hindu Kush is a Landrace strain sold at a bargain price so we should expect a very natural experience. But how does this flower stack up to other classic cultivars like Acapulco Gold for example?

The product arrived in a small sized metal tin with security lid. Removing the top of the container released a distinct earthy herbal aroma that could have been similar to juniper; however the strongest part of the aroma profile was definitely more earthy then sweet.
This bud looked better in the photos we took compared to holding it in your hand. For starters this strain was super dry and basically could be crushed into dust between your fingertips. The leaves are a dark green, almost brown, in colour and the stems were plentiful in this batch. Inspecting the buds close-up we noticed a layer of fuzzy trichomes, however it was a moderate coating.
The flavour connects very well the aroma. When you being smoking there is definitely herbal elements present that concludes with an earthy aftertaste. The flavour profile is good but mild and this is not helped by the dryness of the product which produces a harsh smoke.
Listed as having 20.0% THC content, we found Hindu Kush from Tweed was a very average quality product. It delivered a mild mental high combined with a moderate body buzz that seems to focus on the eyes or face. If you have a higher tolerance then this product is probably not ideal, but if you’re looking for a budget-priced indica then Hindu Kush from Tweed is one to check out. However we preferred Tweed’s Afghan Kush a bit more.
