Limelight from Edison is a sativa-dominant strain that they describe as having a tangy, sour flavour that very much reminds you of fresh-cut limes.
Their website also notes that Limelight (sometimes referred to as Ultra Sour) is cultivated using a cutting edge data-backed grow room to maintain quality of each individual plant throughout the entire process.
So far we’ve reviewed several Edison products… some we loved, some we didn’t love and others were just okay.

Smell
The product arrived in Edison’s mid-size, industry standard plastic container with resealable security lid. Edison always uses a terpene shield inside their containers which tend to not only preserve the bud nicely but also the smell and Limelight (Ultra Sour strain) did not disappoint. Opening the container immediately released a zesty lime aroma. At first it’s hard to determine the exact aroma as it’s quite unique. However after inhaling several times you start to get flashbacks of drinking tequila with limes at the bar.
Appearance
Limelight has a very interesting visual presentation. The buds are multiple tones of greens ranging from olive to dark and the bright orange hairs (pistils) pop which contrast making it look very appealing. The terpene shield also prevented the buds from drying so they have a spongy feel when you squeeze them between your fingers.
Flavour
If you ever run out of limes the next time you do shots, you’ll should keep some of Limelight from Edison on hand. It delivers an interesting flavour that very closely resembles limes. Any drinking buddies that also toke will like enjoy this too. I can’t remember tasting many lime flavoured cannabis strains before so you might want to try this strain just to experience the distinct flavour and smell.
Experience
Limelight from Edison is a solid THC product with a great buzz. After smoking we felt energized and refreshed while also feeling calm and serene. I also noted a mild tingling throughout my body but this disappeared within 10 or 15 minutes. You could definitely enjoy this strain during the day without feeling sleepy or burned out. Overall it delivers a strong but calm and serene high.

I’m finishing up a 24.9% 8th and this one has always been awesome. I hope Edison always offers it (it must be popular as it’s one of the few longstanding ones with Edison). I see DOJA has an ultra sour our now that ranges from 28.34%, I bet it’d be good. I have tried the Namaste kind and it was fine but Edison’s is better. Nice review. Cheers.

Edison a few years ago was incredible. Their black cherry punch was delicious but I feel like they’ve come down a few notches.
