Upon opening the tube, we noticed a moderate sweet citrus scent with a subtle earthy floral undertone. While we were expecting the citrus to be more prominent, the additional earthy floral aroma was a nice surprise and helped give a bit of depth to the smell. It’s possible that the pre-rolls had lost some of their potency due to being stored in a plastic container for a few months, which could have caused the flower to dry out.
Sunny Daze from Fuego are pre-rolled 1 gram joints that came in a white plastic tube with clear and concise labelling that covers all the essential information, including the brand name, product name, THC and CBD totals, weight, contact details, lot number, and packaged date. The pre-rolls themselves were rolled in non-bleached king size rolling papers, similar to RAW papers, and feature a brown non-bleached filter paper that adds an element of elegance and sophistication to the overall appearance. We were delighted to find Fuego sells this in a pack of two, with each joint weighing one gram. The uniformity of the rolling was impressive, ensuring a consistent burn and an enjoyable smoking experience.
Unfortunately these pre-rolls had a pretty muted flavour profile that featured a mild hint of citrus on the inhale, followed by a less noticeable earthy floral undertone on the exhale. The flavour is consistent with the strain’s citrusy and floral notes, but we found it to be muted in comparison to the aroma. However, we did appreciate the mild and smooth flavour, which made it easy to smoke and enjoy. While the flavour was not particularly strong or overpowering, it was still pleasant and consistent with the strain’s profile.
Our pre-rolls were packaged on January 13, 2023, and were part of lot number PR230113A. Each joint contained 24.01% THC, and the two pack was $9.95, we think this is a good deal, with each joint coming in at under $5. In terms of effects, the experience was moderately strong, with a slightly uplifting effect that was combined with a calming mental aspect, making for a mellow and easy-going ride. After about 30 minutes, the initial buzz transformed into a nice chilled feeling that was physically relaxing. Overall, we would recommend the Sunny Daze pre-rolls from Fuego to anyone looking for a moderately strong yet affordable pre-rolled sativa that delivers a pleasant and enjoyable smoking experience.
