Slapz is an indica-dominant strain from Nugz that was created by crossing Runtz with Grease Monkey producing a flower with some bite.
Users describe the flavour profile as being a combination of gassy diesel with hints of fruit and pepper that seem to linger after exhale. Nugz describes the buds as having high amounts of THC, dark with purple hints and lots of trichome crystals. Let’s see how this new cultivar from this brand compares to Nugz Early Lemon Berry strain.

Smell
The flower arrived from Nugz in a bright yellow bag with resealable zipper bag. We tore open the top of the bag and detected a moderately sweet aroma with a secondary floral musk undertone. Definitely not the strongest smell but it was pleasant and had a fresh element which is not surprising given the fact this bud was packaged around a month before we bought it.
Appearance
The front label on the bag had lots of information including the product name, terpene percentage, details about grow style, harvest date and package date. We’d love to see the actual terpenes on the back since it only has contact info. In terms of the flower, it was an assortment of small and medium size buds that were covered in a thick sweet layer of sticky trichomes. The nugs were a mix of bright and dark green leaves with rusty brown hairs acting like electrical currents passing along the outside. Lovely presentation though we think the trim job could have been a wee bit closer to remove some of the excess leaf.
Flavour
We carefully broke up a gram before placing it inside our Kannastor grinder to assure it was milled properly then proceeded to roll up a joint. The flavour profile was very consistent with the aroma although it was a touch milder. Upon inhale there is a mild to moderate strong sweet musky tone with an undertone of mild floral on exhale.
Experience
Our batch of Slapz from Nugz was labelled lot number 022101201 with a harvest date of October 20, 2022 and a package date of November 20, 2022. With the THC content listed as 20.6% and a price tag of $27.95 for 3.5 grams, we feel this product offers pretty solid value. True to a classic indica in our experience, there was a mild sleepiness or groggy physical sensation with a noticeable mental fog that wasn’t overpowering, making the experience relaxing and peaceful. If you’re looking for a new strain then you might want to give this one a try.
