Today we’re continuing our rolling paper reviews with something a bit different than a standard pack of papers.
In addition to making wraps, Pure Hemp also offers the same paper product on a roll instead of pre-cut which means you can determine the length. The width is about the same you’d find on King Size rolling papers but with this product you can make your joints as long as you want.
Let’s see how this roll compares to Pure Hemp’s Classic Regulars or their 1 1/4 Classic Rolling Papers.
Check our review, rating and photos below.
QUALITY OF CONSTRUCTION
The Classic Wide Rolls from Pure Hemp are the same width as other King Size papers (52mm) except since you get a roll instead of pre-cut papers you can determine how long you want to make the joint.
The roll itself is 4 meters long or 13 feet which should be enough for 15 to 30 joints depending on how much paper you use for each. Just a heads up that you’ll probably waste some along the way but I’ll get into that in the next section.
Essentially if you’re already accustom or familiar with the paper used by Pure Hemp then you’ll have very few issues or complaints about the quality as it’s the same they use for the entire Classic product line.
EASE OF USE
Some users are really going to enjoy this product for the versatility but others are going to feel the exact opposite.
At first I thought this was a great idea because instead of having different sized papers sitting around, you could in theory just have this single roll. Then if you want to spin a large joint for multiple people you simply need to cut off a longer piece.
However the problem I encountered several times was estimating how much paper was needed and as a result several times cut off the piece too small which meant it ended up going to waste. Rolling the joint is no more difficult with these than any other standard papers I just didn’t realize it would be difficult eyeballing the length.
OVERALL VALUE
Pure Hemp sells these Classic Wide Rolls on their website for $57 (plus shipping) for a box that contains 24 packages with a 4 meter roll inside each package.
In terms of overall value, some of that is subjective and really comes down to the personal preference of the user. If your preference is a slightly thicker paper or one made from hemp instead of trees then you’ll find this brand offers good value.
However if you prefer something like Smoking’s Thinnest Mediums or ultra-thin papers in general then you’ll probably think these are too thick. Personally I thought this was a good idea but I’ll probably go back to my standard White Zig-Zags.
