This is our first Wagners review and finding information on their Cherry Jam strain was difficult except what they provided on their own website.
Wagners describes Cherry Jam as a hybrid strain that produces a smell similar to sweet fruit with subtle skunky undertones and noticeable contrast between light and deep greens tones that are broken up by specks of purple to create a camouflage pattern. In terms of flavour profile, they describe a sour cherry taste combined with rich dried fruit. Since this plant is a sativa-indica hybrid it delivers a balanced physical and cerebral high.
This sounds great, but how does it compare with other Cherry products like Sev7n’s Island Cherry or BLK MKT’s Cherry Punch?

Smell
This is our first Wagners review so we didn’t know what to expect from their Cherry Jam strain. When we opened their resealable pouch we expected to get punched in the face with a sweet aroma however the smell was almost non-existent. What we could detect was a faint musky earth smell with very mild undertones of berries. Not bad, but certainly not was we expected.
Appearance
Cherry Jam’s appearance made up for it’s lack of smell. Beautifully trimmed, lovely and compact, these buds are very pleasing from top to bottom. The green canvas kept our eyes busy jumping between the compact nature of the leaves, light and dark greens interwoven with and purple hues. Plus the lightening-like red-brown hairs that protrude from a thick trichome layer spread evenly throughout. The only compliant would be the dryness of the buds.
Flavour
We have to give credit where credit is due – Wagners Cherry Jam does actually tastes like a cherry jam so they did a great job on the naming the product. However the flavour profile still felt very weak compared to other cherry strains we’ve reviewed. Could a moisture pack or terpene shield improve the smell and flavour?
Experience
Overall Cherry Jam from Wagners is good (not great) product. We found the high it delivered was a touch above average and blended well between a mild tranquil mental state and mellow body vibes. However we definitely prefer this product over Wagners Dark Helmet strain. Cherry Jam won’t overpower you, but if balanced is what you’re looking for then Cherry Jam might be worth a try.

I disagree with the smell. Stuff knocked me on my ass with a beautiful cherry smell. You must have had a bad bag or something.

Great feedback Chris. We’ll probably try this one again. We just re-reviewed Afghani Drifter because our first batch looked like garbage, second much much better.

I think he meant he smelled the shatter since that is what he is reviewing. I agree the shatter had very little scent and that usually doesn’t mean much, it probably means the shatter is nice and fresh if anything as terpenes start sugering up and creating more smell as time passes. The taste of the shatter however is what you would expect it is nice.
