Boss OG from Cabana is a balanced hybrid that was created by crossing the classic OG Kush with tropical Lemon Thai strains.
It’s become well-known for its pain and stress relieving properties, making it a popular choice among medicinal smokers. Originated by Dark Heart Nursery, this batch was grown in California and hand-picked by Cabana for their own unique twist on a fan favorite.

Smell
Their particular variety of this strain had a refreshing, classic kush smell to it and was maintained well by being packaged in a small glass jar. Right upon opening there’s a strong odor of pine, followed by very woody and herbal undertones, rounded out with a healthy dose of lemon and even a hint of grape. I honestly couldn’t keep my nose out of the jar while trying to identify all the lovely notes in this one.
Appearance
The buds were dark green, curly edged, and fairly dense. They tended to be lush and not too dry, cured well enough to maintain a nice body without falling apart when stored properly. The appearance was sort of like nice little Christmas trees, which matched well with the fresh pine scent. Almost as nice as Mendocino Grasslands London Pound Cake.
Flavour
The taste certainly aligns with the aroma with a strong earthy forest flavor, sort of like a camping adventure for your taste buds. There’s also a hint of diesel underneath, but a very light one, mostly overpowered by the lemon and pine cones, I mean tones.
Experience
Listed with 23.84% THC content and a price tag of $25 for 3.5 grams, I found there was an instant calming effect when smoking this bud for the first time. It brought on a quick feeling of calm and euphoria, leading to a very chill evening of relaxation. Even though it’s been described as a balanced hybrid, I feel like this version floated further over into the indica realm. I can definitely see why it’s well-liked for its relief of pain and anxiety. Intensely relaxing with a strong body high, Cabana’s Boss OG will definitely get you unwound after a long day of whatever it is you do on long days.
