Smell

As we eagerly opened the plastic container of Tam Tams’ Coastal Sage, our senses embarked on an exciting journey of smells. With each twist of the lid, a captivating aroma gently wafted out, instantly grabbing our attention. The scent was strong enough to notice but not too overpowering, and it had a remarkable clarity.

The smell made us imagine a thriving herb garden, where the air was filled with the refreshing aroma of freshly picked herbs. It felt like we were surrounded by nature itself. The perfect blend of freshness and vitality created a wonderful symphony of scents that fascinated and enticed us, setting the stage for an enchanting experience to come.

Appearance

The flower arrived in a blue plastic container commonly used in the industry. It features important information that helps consumers understand the product easily. The label shows the brand and product name, where it was grown, and the growing style. It also provides details such as the percentages of THC and CBD, weight, grower contact information, lot number, and packaged date. We were pleased to find an Integra Humidity Shield inside the container, which keeps the flower fresh.

The buds varied in size, ranging from tiny to small. They had a consistent light green colour, like the lush plants found near the coast. However, they were quite leafy and not as dense as their other strain. Despite this, they did have a decent amount of trichomes, giving a subtle shimmer to the buds. When we examined the pistil hairs closely, we noticed a few vibrant orange strands, resembling tiny dancing flames among the leaves. Although there weren’t many of them, the ones present added an interesting visual contrast to the buds.

However, we couldn’t feel but a little disappointed with the appearance overall, as it didn’t meet our expectations.

Flavour

To our pleasant surprise, the taste of Coastal Sage presented a delightful twist, different from the smell we experienced earlier.

As we took the first puff, a noticeable sweetness greeted our taste buds, providing a pleasing contrast to the expected earthy and herbal flavours. This enjoyable sweetness lingered on our tongues, adding a touch of indulgence to each inhalation. While savouring the experience, we began to detect an intriguing hint of herbs, subtly enhancing the overall taste with its complexity. The herbal notes blended harmoniously with the initial sweetness, creating an interesting interplay of flavours that enhanced our smoking experience.

When exhaling the thick clouds of aromatic smoke, a gentle woody aftertaste emerged, leaving a lasting impression that complemented each inhale. This delicate woody essence added depth and refinement, delivering a satisfying finish to each puff.

Experience

Our Coastal Sage container from Tam Tams had the lot number 2022102327 and was packaged on October 17, 2022. Priced at $34.95 for 3.5 grams, with a THC content of 24.1%, this strain delivered an intriguing and unique experience. While the aroma and flavour worked well together, the overall experience leaned towards a milder side.

The high provided a clear and focused mental state, accompanied by a slight physical sensation around the eyes. It left us pleasantly elevated, with a feeling that we could continue to enjoy more if we wanted. The experience was not overwhelming but rather a gentle and enjoyable journey.
