Yesterday we reviewed the cheapest dried flower product we’ve found so far and today we’re looking at another affordable sativa option.
Lemon Haze from Daily Special is a citrusy sativa that is available for $21.95 for 3.5g. This flower was originally created by crossing Lemon Skunk with Silver Haze. It’s known for a flavour similar to fresh peeled lemon slices and an aroma described as being a sweet tropical mango with undertones of lemon. The combination of flavours is largely thanks to a terpene profile that includes terpinolene, beta-myrcene, alpha-pinene. Lemon Haze typically has light, frosty green buds with bright orange hairs.
So how does this product compare to Super Lemon Haze?

Smell
Daily Special’s Lemon Haze strain arrived in a super bright yellow bag that was surprisingly big considering it only contained 3.5g of cannabis. We opened the package expecting to get hit with a sharp lemony aroma given the strains description and name, however the smell was very mild. After a few good deep inhales, we determined the smell to be something close to warm lemon peels, but it seemed more tart then sweet.
Appearance
This was another instance where the camera seemed to make the buds looks nicer then reality. Emptying the contents out was a bit of a sad sight. Bone dry, shaggy-looking and even a bit stemmy. However on the positive side there was plenty light brown hairs and the fluffy buds had a decent layer of trichomes. Nothing about this products appearance is going to wow or impress you.
Flavour
Our first few tokes of this Lemon Haze strain was strange. So fluffy it almost had trouble lighting and staying lit. The odd thing too was we did not noticed much flavour for the first coupe of tokes, and then very subtly began tasting those same lemon peels we originally smelled when we opened the bag. Normally we enjoy citrus or lemon flavoured cannabis but this one just did not do it.
Experience
Lemon Haze from Daily Special was a bit of disappointment but we need to remember the affordable price of $21.95. This strain delivered a very mild mental buzz combined with mild goosebumps-like body tingles. Much like Bonify’s Lemon Zkttl this product will not be sufficient for regular or daily tokers. However if you’re on a tight budget and have a low THC tolerance then you might want to check it out. We preferred Daily Special’s MK Ultra strain slightly more then this product.
