The Fruit Pie strain is known for it’s sour candied fruit and berries aroma combined with delicious flavour. This indica-dominant strain was created when Fruitbound was crossed with the gassy, cherry strain Pie 95.
The end result was a plant that produced big yields while creating aromas ranging from sour candied fruit and berries to a menthol-like cherry dough. You can see why this strain is popular among many users. Combine this amazing strain with the cultivation team at Muskoka Grown – a company with a mission to cultivate cannabis products that their customers love – and we might have a real winner here.

Smell
The product arrived in a black tuna-style container with peel back metal seal. Opening the lid released a very strong earthy floral aroma with undertones of sweet strawberry jam although you may not detect it right away. Overall the smell was pleasant and a close match to what you can expect from Fruit Pie.
Appearance
Muskoka Grown’s Fruit Pie strain looks great. The buds were all popcorn size (perhaps a bit smaller) and had a lovely colour palette that sparkled with trichomes. The purple, orange, and greens are bright and easy on the eyes.
Flavour
We noted a lovely and warm sweet jam taste with a hint of the earthy undertones while enjoying this bud. Quite a pleasant taste but not too strong.
Experience
Overall Fruit Pie from Muskoka Grown is a good product. This bud is quite enjoyable as a day buzz and the high is uplifting while remaining mild on the mind. We noticed it created an equally relaxing body buzz without being overpowering. High and functionable is a great way to go. In terms of other indica flowers from this brand, we preferred Muskoka Grown’s Pink Vanilla OG more than this one but their Rockstar Master Kush was definitely not as as good.
