Tsunami is Hexo’s version of the popular Northern Berry strain which is a hybrid that was created by crossing Northern Lights with Blueberry.
Grown by Hexo inside their Quebec based greenhouses with custom feed solutions before being hand-manicured, sorted with a slow drying and curing process. This ensures the best possible flavour profile, which includes mango, lemon grass, hops and thyme from the myrcene, and black pepper, cloves and balsam from the caryophyllene in its terpene mix.
How does this flower from Hexo stack up to competitor strains like UP’s Northern Berry?

Smell
The wonderful pleasant scent of this bud hits one like a Tsunami as soon as you open the package. It is reminiscent of strong sweet berries, yum!
Appearance
Covered in frosty trichomes upon a closer inspection, this cornucopia mix of green and brown haired buds, appear quite solid and dense.
Flavour
While the flavor isn’t very strong, the taste of wood with a faint hint of berries is detected, making it overall enjoyable. Plus, the berry taste was much better when you compare it to something like Haven St’s Northern Berry strain which they sell under the name No. 421 Twilight.
Experience
There’s enough good things to be said about Hexo Tsunami that’s for sure. The high is very strong which adds to the great experience and value offered. This strain on OCS is definitely the best bang for your buck hands down! Quality and price exactly where you want them, available for purchase in ounces. ‘Nuff said.
Barb
Is this the same strain as the UP20 Northern Berry? If it is, you guys rated the northern berry a lot lower than the Tsunami.
Just saying.

Hi Barb! Great question. The strain is likely the same but we’ve noticed quite a bit of variance between brands (even though they are growing the same plant). That difference was one of the reasons we started the site – we wanted to track the quality not only of strains but the specific growers too.
