LoLo Lemonade Slusheez Review (Milled)

Lemonade Slusheez from Lolo is a sativa-leaning strain with over 28% THC content that has been pre-ground for easy rolling and smoking.

LoLo Lemonade Slusheez is a sativa-heavy hybrid stemming from a combination of Gelato with Lemon Tree.

Initially crossed by UK-based Real Gorilla Seeds, the Northern California company Lolo has now added that thirst-quenching flavor to their line-up with this ten gram pre-ground pack of sugar coated flower.

These cannabis creators pride themselves on providing quality indoor-grown products at consumer-friendly prices, which can be a difficult combination to find at times, so if you’re the type of sativa smoker who prefers indoor weed but you also don’t want to consistently break the bank, then Lolo’s Lemonade Slusheez might be the right choice for you.

I’d like to see how this flower compares to the ground up bud inside the flavourful Collins Ave Pre-Roll.

Smell

Just as expected, a strong, refreshing lemonade scent jumped out of this simple white Mylar bag and smacked me right in the face upon opening. There were other light acidic notes that followed a grapefruit and even tangerine, as well as that ammonia-like under-bite at the bottom and can be indicative of most resin-heavy lemon breeds. This pre-ground flower had a somewhat light and very sweet smell, but it was certainly still pungent enough to fill up the room with a whole hunk of skunkiness. Sight unseen and judging strictly by the smell of this product, you would absolutely expect it to be high-quality flower.

Appearance

Aside from the intense green and amber shades of color, the instant appearance of this bud left a little something to be desired, mainly because of the large amount of leafy bits included. Upon closer examination though, you can see that all these extra crumbs are densely covered in a thick frost that visually aligns with it having such a high THC content for pre-ground cannabis, clocking in at just over 28%. It was surprisingly soft and spongy, not overly dried out at all, and even though there were unfortunately also a few small pieces of stem, they were fairly easy to fish out of the mix. For the value you’re getting at around $20 for ten grams I didn’t find it to be too much of an issue, just as long as you have the time to do a little cleaning before you roll one up.

Flavour

Lemonade Slusheez had a very sugary lemon and sour citrus taste that almost perfectly matched the bright, uplifting odor. It did hit a bit harsh due to the leafiness, which slightly affected the flavor overall, but in the end it was smoother than I expected when judging strictly by appearance. This was definitely some of the freshest tasting ready-to-roll cannabis I’ve tried recently, so if you like pre-ground bud that still maintains a lot of zesty sour flavor then you’ll probably appreciate Lolo’s take on this strain.

Experience

My bag was labelled batch number G060622GON, packaged on June 17, 2022 and listed with 28.27% THC for $20. Living up to its high THC percentage, I was instantly lifted from the first hit I took off the Slusheez. The onset is sativa-dominant for sure, bringing a quick cerebral lift followed by a buzz of excitement and anticipatory giddiness. It didn’t take long for the brain freeze to take hold though, and I got that zoned-out feeling of my eyelids drooping, then quickly slid into a wandering mindstate while being physically stuck in place. I also got incredibly hungry, with an intensity I imagine could only be compared to that of a grizzly bear waking up from hibernation. Even though it jumped off as quite heady, this strain ultimately ended up being a definite hybrid high experience in the end. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to increase their appetite or just sit still in their cave and watch a good movie marathon.

As a Northern California native and longtime consumer of cannabis in many forms I've spent endless hours exploring the various brands and products this region has to offer, so I'm here to help guide you through the ever-evolving landscape of the West Coast weed world. From sunny South Cali to the Bay Area breeze and Sacramento trees, all the way up to the emerald glory of Mendocino and legendary Humboldt County, I'll be discovering the best (and maybe not-so-best) buds, concentrates, and extracts being harvested in the Golden State these days. Why? So you don't have to take chances when you're headed out to pick up a fresh drop, of course. Because that's what we do here. It's pretty heroic.

Have your say!
