Big Bag O Buds ICC is an indica-dominant hybrid that’s the result of crossing Gelato #33 with Wedding Cake.
This version from Big Bag O Buds is described has having a dank earthy sweetness that every cake-lover expects from this strain. Also BBOB notes the presence of Germacrene-B in the terepene profile which give it a matcha-like quality. In terms of appearance the buds are described as being spongy and dark with a thick layer of trichomes.
It will be interesting to see how this compares to Edison’s Ice Cream Cake or Cali Kush Cake from DOJA.
Smell
Just like previous strains from BBOB this one arrived in a larger silver foil bag with resealable zipper opening. We tore into the package and immediately detected a strong vanilla citrus aroma with a spicy cake at the end. I’ve always thought I.C.C is one of those flowers with a pretty distinct smell and this one is no exception.
Appearance
We dumped out the bag and noted the inclusion of a humidity shield. BBOB has been consistent with this across all their strains. It’s also pretty clear they maintain a pretty high quality standard. The buds were all medium or large in size, spongy to the touch, beautiful shades of forest and dark greens with heavy trichome frosted leaf tips. The colours contrast so well that it is easy to see the few brown hairs that kinda resemble leopard spots.
Flavour
The flavour was a wonderfully creamy extension of its aroma. A sweet taste of vanilla and lemon on both the inhale and exhale is great; however we did find there was a slight hint of black pepper at the end of the exhale which some might find has a bit of a bite.
Experience
Listed with 22.6% THC content and a price tag of $143.95 for 28 grams, we found Ice Cream Cake from Big Bag O Buds to be very strong and offer decent value for the money. It produced a moderately strong mental cloud which made concentration difficult. This was combined with a very strong body high that expresses itself as a tingling sensation throughout the body and around the eyes. If we had to pick we’d say BBOB’s Black Cherry Punch is better but if you’re looking for a flavourful indica at a reasonable price then you might want to check out this one.
