UP’s Lemon Z is a sativa-dominant hybrid that was created by crossing Las Vegas Skunk with Zktlz.
Most users describe the aroma and flavour as being a zesty citrus with a subtle herbal undertone. In terms of appearance, UP reports the buds to be bright green, frosty with an elevated terpene concentration of caryophyllene, myrcene, and limonene.
It will be interesting to see how this compares to Lemon Z from Ogen.

Smell
The product arrived from UP in a smaller sized red plastic bag with resealable zipper opening. After opening the package it did not take very long to smell the very very strong and sweet aroma. As we tried to think of a comparable smell to this , the best description was chalky sweet tarts candy or citrusy pixie sticks. We definitely prefer this aroma over UP’s Gelato.
Appearance
Past UP products we reviewed did not include a humidity shield so it wasn’t shocking to not see one in this package. The buds were mostly small in terms of size but due to the dry state of the flower there was also plenty of shake. The two medium sized buds were nice in their own right even if they did have some excess leaf and were topped off by a thick trichome layer that hide the bright orange hairs.
Flavour
We expected the flavour to be negatively affected by the dryness but actually found it tasted as good as it smelled. Best descried as a sweet sugar taste on inhale, combined with a tartness on exhale. At times it made us think of Fruit Loops cereal dust. Overall we enjoyed the taste of this strain more then UP’s Ghost Train Haze. That being said the smoke was harsh so it would be nice to see UP start including humidity shields.
Experience
Listed with 22.1% THC content and a price tag of $26.95 for 3.5 grams, we found Lemon Z from UP delivered a nice strong high even if the flower was too dry. As you might expect from a sativa, this product created an uplifting, calming, and tranquil mental state of mind. While producing a strong body vibe that felt like a soothing massage. You might want to try this one if you’re looking for a reasonably priced sweet sativa but anticipate dry buds.
